*Nova's Point of View*
"Wow, I haven't been here in a while!" Apollo said as we stood outside of Artemis' palace. I rung the doorbell and stood and waited for someone to open the door.
"Hello?" Said Xenon. "Nova! Apollo! Come in!"
We walked into the home.
"What brings you two here today?" Xenon asked.
"I wanted to speak with Artemis. I know I didn't schedule a meeting, sorry for the late notice, but this is important!" Apollo urged.
"Lucky for you, Artemis doesn't have any meetings today. We are just getting ready for our date night. You can go right to his office," She said pointing down the hall. "I have to finish getting ready!"
"Thank you!" said Apollo.
I started to follow him to the room.
"I'm sorry, Nova but this is too important of a topic. I can't have you come with me." Apollo said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"I can tell you later, but for now just wait until I'm finished with my meeting." He said.
"Okay, I'll meet you outside," I said.
Apollo walked down the hall to Apollo's office. I stood and watched him. I waited until the door shut and I heard them greeting each other to sneak up behind. There was an empty room next to Apollo's office. It was a library. I walked inside and in the back of the room under a desk there was a vent perfectly placed where I could hear what was going on in the next room.
"I'm telling you, Artemis. He says in the message that this place was amazing and that it doesn't even look like the city was ever run down! I really think we should consider coming together, there's plenty of food, space, and oxygen!" Apollo exclaimed.
"How is that possible?" Artemis asked. "And who is this friend?"
"Astro! And I don't know how it's possible! I didn't believe it either but I've been stuck at the Dream Wave for so long that I haven't noticed how dark and isolated our town really is! If what everything he's saying about the Light Haven is true, I really think we should consider moving there!" Apollo said. "Your daughter and her friends really helped open my eyes!"
Artemis cut Apollo off, "what do you mean, dark and isolated? It seems like you are judging how I run my city. I'm quite insulted!" He barked.
"N-no, no ! That's not what I meant. It's just, Astro offered me the position of leading the Light Haven and I think I want to take it. If I do, I would love for our two communities to come together!" Said Apollo.
"What about the Dream Wave? I gave you that to control!" Artemis yelled. His voice was getting louder.
"But sir, I was offered the chance to lead a community! I love Dream Wave but I can see our future being so much brighter if we did this!" Apollo said.
"What's wrong with what we have now?" Artemis asked.
"N-nothing, sir," Apollo muttered.
"Exactly! I am really disgusted with your attitude. I don't appreciate you attacking me and judging how I rule my community!" Artemis yelled.
"Artemis, that's not what I was saying. I'm sorry if it came across that way!" Apollo apologized.
Wow. This conversation reminded me of Dove and I's.
"I don't want to hear it! What I do want is you out of my home and back at the Dream Wave. And lose touch with the Light Haven or else you will be suspended." Artemis ordered.
"Yes, sir," Apollo mumbled.
I could hear Apollo walking out of the room, down the hall and out of the house.
I couldn't believe Artemis blew up on Apollo like that. I heard him pacing back and forth in his office."Ughhh!" He roared.
"Baby? What's the matter?" Xenon asked running into his office.
"Apollo, he told me some news about the Light Haven. Turns out they're a thriving community, better than ours!" Artemis said.
So he really didn't know about this.
"So what does this mean now?" Xenon asked.
"We can't have our people knowing there's a better community out there. We have to be the best. So we have to overthrow them, take over their goods and bring it over to us!" Artemis yelled.
What? No! That's a terrible idea.
"That's a great idea!" Xenon cheered. "We can get our men to prepare the Night Lawn for attack!"
The Night Lawn? Why would the people in that neighborhood want to participate in this?
"Not yet, we have to come up with a thorough plan! But we have to come up with one soon because Apollo was thinking about becoming ruler over there as well!" Artemis said.
"Is he trying to compete against you to see who's more powerful?" Xenon asked.
"Obviously it's me!" Artemis bragged.
"Don't be too sure, we should take him out too!" Xenon suggested.
I gasped.
Shit. They probably heard me.
The room went silent. I heard Artemis and Xenon walking around their room I guess trying to figure out where the noise came from.
"Apollo knows not to go against me. We don't have to worry about him just yet. But what we can worry about is our plans for tonight," Artemis said.
"Oh, I have a few things in mind," Xenon flirted.
Oh god, are they?
I heard them push everything off the desk and while there was some...commotion, that was my cue to get out of the house as fast as I could.
