Chapter 5

It had been a few months since Luke adopted Ashley. Bo and Tate loved her. They would always want Ashley to play with them. For Tate's 4th birthday, Luke surprised the family and took them to the arcade. Ashley finally felt like she belonged. It was like a dream she hast woken up from yet.

Ashley had started school a few days ago. Today was Friday and tonight Ashley would be going out on tour with Luke for his four Ohio shows. She had heard that Jason Michael Carroll was in that particular area, so she was determined to find and meet him. Right now Ashley was in school, in Algebra to be exact. She wasn't paying attention to the teacher. She was to busy thinking about Oliver, who was this really cute boy that had a locker right next to her. She had gotten to know Oliver because he sat next to her in Spanish. They also had a locker mishap on the first day, so they got to know each other a lot better. Oliver was tall, with brown hair and dark eyes. He talked to Ashley most of the time. She loved having him around. There was also this other boy named Braden, who was really cute too. Braden had invited Ashley to the football game that night, because he played on the team. When he asked her, she felt heartbroken because she had already made plans to go with her dad, and you don't darn change your plans with Thomas Luther Bryan.

It was 5 p.m. and Luke, Ashley, and the band had stopped at Applebee's for dinner. They were in Cleveland, the city where the first Ohio show would be. "Oh my god. Daddy looks its. Holy shit it's really him. Can I go over and say hi?" "Ashley who the hell are you talking about?" "Daddy look over there! It's Jason Michael Carroll!" "Why don't you go over and say hi?" "Oh but daddy I don't wanna invade his personal life. He's with his family. His whole family." Ashley was right. About 5 tables away was the Carroll's: Jason, Wendy, Gavin, Savannah, Stori, and JW. They were one big happy family right now, and Ashley didn't wanna mess with that. "Oh Ashley, he won't mind. Here, I'll even make Black Mike go with you." And with that, Black Mike reluctantly got up and pushed Ashley in front of him, making her walk. "I don't like this game, 'Let's Make Black Mike Do All This Shit That Luke Bryan Doesn't Wanna Do.' It really isn't nice." "Black Mike, you know you don't have to do this. I'm capable of walking over and saying hi to my idol." "Yeah, well we'll see about that." At that time, they had make their way to Jason's table. "Hi. My name is Michael Monaco, my friend here is Ashley Bryan. Ashley had noticed that you were Jason Michael Carroll, and she wanted to say hi. I believe you were at Heinz Field for the That's My Kind Of Night tour, correct?" "Yes that's correct. I really loved the show by the way. And I really loved Ashley's cover of Alyssa Lies. So beautiful." Ashley hadn't know that Jason was at Heinz Field that night. "You were at Heinz Field? Holy shit." Jason smiled as Ashley said that. "Your dad is Luke Bryan, right? Because I've always wanted to talk to him." "Yeah he is. He's right over there," Ashley said pointing to Luke's table. "Sweet. I'll make a deal with you. Why don't you sit down and talk with my wonderful family, and I'll go talk to your wonderful daddy. When I come back, you get a picture or an autograph or whatever you'd like. Sound cool?" "Sounds awesome!" So while Jason was talking to Luke, Ashley was sitting and talking to Wendy and eating some really good free food.

*The Next Day*
Today was the first day of the four Ohio shows. Last night, Ashley had gotten to know Jason a lot more. she found out that he was in the Marines and that he was such a sweetheart. He made Ashley feel like part if the family. She loved when stars were down to earth like Jason was. She was totally in love with him now.

It was 3 p.m. and Black Mike and Ashley had stopped at Dairy Queen before they would go to the show venue. Ashley had just sat down when Jason Michael Carroll and his son, Gavin sat down next to her. "Hello Ashley. What a nice surprise seeing you here." "Y'all look like you're up to no good. What's going on here?" At that moment Black Mike had sat down too. "Michael what's happening?" "Oh baby. I wish I was able to tell you. But I'm not allowed. Daddy's rules," he said as he smiled. "So listen to this. As you know, I saw your performance at Heinz Field, and I thought that maybe you'd like to maybe perform with me? It's all up to you and I'm not going to pressure you into saying yes, but I would really like it if you would. I think it'd give you a bigger fan base, all those JMC fans listening to you." "OH MY GOD THIS IS SO FREAKING AMAZING!!! Yes I'll perform with you! This is a dream come true holy shit!" "I'm glad you said yes. Now I need to contact you so we can figure this thing out." "Oh yeah that'd be nice. Um here's my number." so Ashley wrote her phone number down and handed it to Jason. "Thanks. I'll call you or text you later. Have fun tonight at the concert." "I will. Thanks!" So with that, Jason and Gavin left. "Well we better get going if you wanna meet your daddy before the show." So while Black Mike drove to the venue, Ashley kept silently fanigirling about Jason. 'He noticed me and liked me. Wow this is amazing! I can't wait till we can plan this.' She was smiling the whole ride too. They finally got to the concert venue. "Hey daddy guess what!" "What?"
