I Slammed my body down on the bed. I looked again on my Iphone, for the nth time. Where is Cayden? What is wrong with him, doing that “walk out thing” at class this morning? I thought we were having pizza.

I went to my desk to get my IMac when I heard something from my window. And then there it is again, a stone thrown on my window. Cayden.

I hurriedly went to the window and opened it. I saw him standing there in the road, looking like a lost dog. What’s with him? And then I think I saw some spark in his eyes. Is it real or I just had imagined it?

“Cayden, what are you doing?” I whisper to him. I hope he hears me.

“Get down.” He mouthed.

“What?” I mouthed too.

He points his hands at the floor, telling me to get down there with him.

I raised my hand, telling him to wait. I went downstairs and met my mom at the doorway.

“Hey, young lady. Where do you think are you going?”

I sheepishly smiled at her. “Cayden’s outside,Mom. I just need to talk to him.”

My mom looked at her watch, “At 11pm? What is so important that it can’t wait for tomorrow?”

“Mom, just let me talk to him. He’s just outside. We’re not going anywhere.”

She was silent for a minute. “Okay fine. Tell him to come in.”

“Mom.” I told her.

“Okay! Just don’t’ stay up late.”  I nod.

I hurriedly went outside and I saw Cayden, seated on the big rock, strumming again his fingers. He noticed me as I come forward to him.

“Hey.” I told him. I seated on his side of the rock.

“Hey yourself.”

We were silent, it was like we’re trying to know what each other is thinking.  I cannot keep up the silence anymore.

I exhaled, “What’s the problem?” I was irritated with him. He’s being childish.

“You don’t know???”

I confronted him. “How would I know the problem, when you do that kind of stunt at school? Walking out, seriously???”

“You are leaving!!!! That is the problem!!!” he outburst.

“What’s so big deal about that? Like I was someone to miss.”

“Olivia Rose!”

“What? I was just saying the truth. Hey, people leave, right?”

He grabbed my shoulder. “You really want to leave?”

“NO!” I said.

I was shocked because he suddenly kissed me. His lips touched mine. We didn’t make any move; just like that our lips are enclosed to each other. I had never been kissed. And the thought that Cayden is my first kiss sends shivers in my body. I love him since I don’t know when. Maybe the time when he defended me from those bullies when we were still little kids. He is my best friend. And I know that I will love him forever.

A tear fell from my eyes. He slowly pulled away. He wiped away the tear on my cheek.

I was stunned with what just happened. I don’t know what to say.

“Are you okay?” he said and put his hand on my cheek.

I nod. He nervously laughs.

“I was taken too, Liv. I just feel like doing it.” He looked into my eyes.
