I nuzzled up against Bill. He felt warm against my cheek and just as I was about to fall asleep, Molly tapped my shoulder,

"Mummy? What are you doing?"

Startled, I looked at her for a good second. "Molly? Why aren't you in bed?"

"I couldn't sleep."

I sighed, lifting Molly up and carrying her to her bed.

Bill glanced at me. I tried to cuddle with him again, but to my surprise, he got up and left. He had been acting strange recently, not spending as much time with me. We used to relive the old days together, binging his old science videos and laughing at the ridiculousness. I decided to go to my room and just sleep without him. This was the fifth time.

Bill Nye got up first, and I woke up to the sound of his slippers hitting the floor.

"Billy?"

Bill sighed, turning his head to look back at me.

"Y/N, face it. I don't love you anymore."

I sat there, mouth agape. "You..."

Bill left before I could say another word. I heard the pitter patter of Molly's bunny slippers on the wood floor. Her head poked into the bedroom.

"Mummy where is Daddy going? He promised to play family with me."

That statement brought tears to my eyes...family...what we once were.

"He went to work, honey."

"This early?" She rubbed her eyes. "Mummy, why are you crying?"

"My allergies are acting up again...Hey! Do you want to make some breakfast with me? I was thinking pancakes~" I mimicked the sizzling sound of batter coming in contact with the firey hot pan and licked my lips while raising my thiccc eyebrows. My daughter stared at me, terror in her eyes.

"No, no pancakes? That's a shame. I really was thinking about making grandpa's good ole fruit jam to put on the pancakes."

"Mmm, saucy," she said with pure joy in her eyes.

"Alright, let's go then!" I said holding her hand as we walked through the halls. We were going to make it through this just fine, without Bill Nye.
