WHAT?!
That had been her reaction when the PHA (Protection of Hybrids Association) knocked at her door and told her she was under arrest. She was taken to the police station when she finally told them she had never had a hybrid in entire life, even as a kid. Which was when they told her about her parents.
Her parents...
FLASHBACK...
"Mom, Dad, I'm home", she said walking into the mansion she called home.
"Mom?", there was no response.
"Dad?" Nothing but silence.
She ran upstairs there she saw it, her parents lying in the pool of their own blood. There was blood everywhere, on the wall, their portrait, knives lodged in the chest of her guardians...
FLASHBACK OVER...
Since then she lived in the mansion alone paying the mortgage alone, which, in all honesty, was not at all a problem seeing that she had her own restaurant and cafe.
She had always felt that the 'murderers' were at fault. So when she heard that the agents told her that the so-called murderers weren't exactly murderers she had burst out in anger almost questioning the sanity of the agents, or was it her sanity she questioned?
Until they finally explained:
Her parents were hybrid traffickers and the murderers? Hybrids, they had confessed everything to the PHA already and since everyone knew that hybrids were horrible liars, there was almost no argument.
Almost.
The agents then explained the price of hybrid trafficking: life imprisonment or the price of $100,000,000,000,000.
That was a lot of price to pay even though the crime was quite heavy too. They introduced the third option and to her, it wasn't any better.
Adopt hybrids.
Her first thought was NO plain and simple, then she thought about the other options, and she agreed.
That was a mistake, at least that's what she thought.

Hey, I'm probably going to put this book on hold. So yeah, or maybe I might un-publish it instead. Also the book is going to kinda change a bit but not much, so yeah.
