I sit here on the stairs, 'cause I'd rather be alone. If I can't have you right now; I'll wait dear.—Patience by Guns 'n Roses.

HAPPY LOWMAN
"Hap, wait up!" a voice called out from behind him, and Happy turned to see Jax.He pushed his shaggy hair back out of his face, jogging to catch up to him, and when he came to a stop, Happy could see the glimmer of mischief in his gaze.
"Whats up?" Happy asked, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jeans, squinting his eyes against the sun.
"You want to go get a drink with the boys?" Jax pointed back over at Tig and Chibs, both waiting by their bikes.
"I'm heading' over to my ma's. Where'd you have in mind?"
Happy couldn't think of anything worse than going out for drinks right now, but he knew the other Sons weren't likely to take no for an answer.
"Lou's. Check in on her and meet us there." Jax head off to rejoin the other two.
Happy pulled out his cell phone, scrolling quickly through his contacts until he came upon the name of the only woman in his life. He hit the call button and waited.
"Hello, sweet child of mine." His mother's voice rang out when she answered the line.
"How'd you know it was me?" Happy asked, smirking.
"I always know it's you when it's a blocked call." She coughed, making Happy frown and walk a little quicker toward his own bike.
"I'm on my way over."
"I'm fine, I'm fine."
He could picture her now, sitting in her favorite chair rolling her eyes at him through the phone. Always the stubborn woman who didn't need any help. He climbed into his bike, tucking the phone between his ear and shoulder.
