I grew up inside of a snowy wall. I was with my mother and my father And always told to never leave the palace, for the towns people are dangerous and not to be trusted. I've never meet them, but I trust my family with all my heart. "willow! It's time to come in!" My mother Lillian said calling out to me. "Coming mama!" I called back running to her.
My mother was gorgeous, she had dirty blonde hair with green eyes. Sweet pink full lips and a soft complexion, she was also a pale color compared to my father.
I took after my father more then my perfect mother. Instead, he had hair that grew out like a weed but in a color similar to that of dirt. His eyes were cold like the night of a winter solstice and just as vibrant as running water. Yet his lips could still curl into a warm smile. Was that how my mother could tell he was the one? Or was the way he spoke that, to me sounded as if a string quartet were playing in the summertime.
"Did you see anything in the courtyard?" He grinned ever so sweetly.
Instinctively, I retuned his smile. "No papa should I have?" My eyes widened expectantly to find out what this secret was that my father had uncovered so quickly."Well" my mother bent down to my height. "Tomorrow's your birthday and we have prepared your bag and outfits for the trip."
It was approaching so soon, the day of my ninth birthday. And the day that I would receive a creature more extraordinary then any other child's Imagination could muster on their own. That would become my guardian! Just as so many royals before me have in the winter woods my home would gift me a guardian, a companion and a friend all in one. I was simply ecstatic to find mine.
I ate my food quickly before saying goodnight and forcing myself to sleep. Dreaming of all the wonderful creatures I might get.
