Two

I open the door to see seven guys standing there looking really impatient. Well, dang, I didn't think I took that long to get to the door.

" Uh " is all I say, completely confused on who these guys are. They're dressed in tuxedos so obviously they knew this was formal but...

" We're Matt's friends. We're at the right house right " a guy that's wearing a blue bandana and a blue tie asks so I look up to him. Ugh, I'm probably going to feel short throughout this whole thing.

" Yeah, you're just early " I say so they nod.

" We know, Matt told us to come early " a guy with dark brown eyes and a red tie say.

" Sorry Hailey, I forgot to tell you they're coming earlier then everybody else " Matt say walking up beside me. " This Taylor " he says pointing the one wearing a bandana. " Seriously, you can't leave the bandana at home one time "

" Whatever Matt, where's the food " he asks coming into the house then I notice they're all wearing vans.

" This is Jack Gilinsky " Matt say pointing the one with the red tie and he's looking at my shoes.

" Looks like your sister has good style " he says so Matt looks at my feet and nods.

" Anyway this is Jack Johnson, Aaron, Carter, Shawn, and Cameron " Matt says so I nod as he points to each one. " And don't even think about flirting with any of them especially Cam " he adds so I nod again even though I'm confused. Is Cameron a player or something.

" I'm twenty " Cameron says so I nod now understanding.

" Matthew and Hailey come here " our mom yells from the kitchen so the boys sit on the couch as we go into the kitchen.

" I need to ask huge favours " she says so I immediately know it's bad.

" Great " Matt says sarcastically causing her to glare at him.

" What do we need to do " I ask and she takes a deep breath so I know whatever is about to come out of her mouth, I'm not going to like.

" I need you to 'entertain' everybody " she says putting quotation marks around entertain.

" Like in Magcon entertain or... " Matt trails off and she sighs again.

" No I need Hailey to sing and Matt I need you to play the piano " she says and I immediately open my mouth.

" No you know I've never performed, I can't just all of a sudden do it " I protest and Matt looks at me worriedly knowing I won't be able to get out of this.

" Hailey you are an amazing singer, I know you can do this " she tries to encourage me but I just shake my head.

" No I can't " I say as my voice cracks and I run up to my room passing the guys who all look at me worriedly. I hear footsteps behind me as I run up the stairs so if I faster and try to shut the door but somebody stops me and Matt squeezes into my room.

" Come on Hailey, it'll be fine. It's not like it's a bunch of screaming girls that eye rape you " he says causing me to slightly smile.

" I know, I just don't think I'm good enough and doesn't one of your friends sing " I ask and he nods.

" But everybody knows they can sing, nobody except Faith, Kaitlin, me, and Mom know you can sing " he says so I narrow my eyes.

" They " I ask questionably. " More than one can sing and you want me to "

" Hailey just do it " he says.

" Matt I'm not you, I can't just go out there and have a million people screaming my name. Do you even know how much hate I get " I ask and he closes his eyes. I know I shouldn't have said that because he thinks the hate is his fault. Now I feel bad...

" Yes I do but you're only performing in front of family friends. You'll be fine sis " he says then leaves so I groan as I fall back into my bed.
I hear my door open again but I'm to lazy to look and see who it is. The bed comes down more indicating somebody say on it so I sit up and look and see its Jack Johnson.

" Hey " he says as I stare at him.

" Hey. Can I call you JJ " I ask an he smiles as he nods.

" I kinda heard your guys' conversation. I didn't mean too, it's just I was... " he begins but I cut him off.

" It's okay " I say as he looks at his feet.

" Can I hear you sing " he asks.

" Uh... I guess. But don't laugh " I say.

" I promise Hail Hail " he says so I roll my eyes.

" What should I sing " I ask and he looks at me.

" It's your choice not mine " he says so I nod as I go over to my electric piano. I start playing the keys to Shower by Becky G and cautiously sing trying to get every note perfectly.
And soon as the song is over I look over at JJ hopefully. He shakes his head and my heart shatters. I knew I wasn't that good.

" What is wrong with you " he asks and tears come to my eyes. " You are amazing, how could you think you can't sing "

" Really " I ask quietly and he nods so I run over to him and hug him causing him to fall over but I don't care. Him saying that means a lot.

" Thanks " I say smiling hugely and he smiles back as I stand up and help him.

The doorbell rings so me and JJ look at each other.

" Hailey, can you get that " Matt yells so I groan. He is way closer to the door than I am. He's a complete idiot.
JJ and I leave my room and I open the door to see Mom's best friend Sarah and I let her in and see she's wearing a dark green dress and a white cardigan. Okay, did her and mom think it is Christmas or something.
