Chapter 2

*At Uglyville*

Nolan was invited to Lucky Bats house; since they became friends, he decided to visit. "Hey Nolan! How's your day?" Lucky asked. "Eh..it's alright..nothing special." He chuckled.

"Well, if you don't mind, Babo will be visiting, giving me more leaves for when we have our tea!" Lucky smiled, his 3 mini fangs showing. "Awesome! Sound..uh..fun!" The brunette smiled shyly.

10 minutes later

"Hellloooooo!" Babo came in, holding bags filled with tea leaves. Lucky flapped his tiny wings to take a look. "Holy cow! Babo! How..did you get so many!?" Lucky Bat looked at him.
"Well..I pass through the Institute of Perfection..where this little forest is! There's a bunch there!"
"But..doesn't Wedgehead grow them in her garden? Or did she stop?" Lucky became more confused.
"Oh..she still grows them..but I Don't have time to wait.." Babo frowned a little.

"Wait..Babo..you said you go past the Institute? How are you not caught!?" Nolan walked up to the conversation. "Well..everything up there now is grey and boring. I camouflage pretty well, sneaking past the robot guards and everything." He chuckled a little.
"Huh.." Nolan began to think of Lou and Mandy, they were both still there..
"Anyway..I'll see you guys later..I..have things to do.." The brunette left Lucky's house.
"Wait! We weren't done with our appointment!" Lucky yelled while he flapped his wings a little, Nolan ignored him.

*back at Nolan's house*

"I'm going back to the Institute.." He said to himself. "I miss Mandy and Lou..they were like family to me.." He looked at the 'UGLY' sign Lou gave to him years ago. He sighed while looking down at his feet.
He then looked at his clock, it was currently 9pm at Uglyville. He got dressed for bed as he laid there, looking at the ceiling. "Tomorrow is another day.." He whispered.

This chapter is like a past thingy before Nolan actually sneaks into the Institute. In all honesty, this isn't my favorite chapter- I didn't have much ideas..but I still went for it. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. Chapter 3 will come soon!
