She has lived a life where all she thought was hers actually wasn't and could disappear just like that. She is trying to figure out what will stay and what will leave over time. Her mom decided to give her up when she was really little with her sister and brother. All of them went into foster care. Her and her sister got fostered from a married couple that couldn't have kids of their own. She didn't know if they would stay with her for long time or would eventually leave her. After a whole year of being fostered with this family they decided to adopt them. Their brother was fostered and adopted by a different family. Her mom asked her "are you happy with these people?" And because she was little she said "yes" and when her mom shook her head and told her that she was going to stay with them she got really upset and saying "but I want to stay with you." She didn't want her mom to leave her forever even though she used to always leave her during the nights and not come back for a long time.
