Love or lies

Chapter 6:

     My story is probably boring the crap out of everyone. I kind of envy people who can go into detail. Well enough of my crap I'm going to start writing so enjoy if you haven't lost interest. Kisses to my family for supporting me and to the others who have also been a big help. Thanks for all the inspiration, it helps me more than you know.       :-)

Adeline's Pov:

"Spend the rest of the day with me?"

    I stood there and I am certain by the look on his face my eyes were about to pop out of their sockets and my jaw was to the ground. I was gaping in horror but to my astonishment and his I nodded. Searching his face for any kind of lie but he looked truthful.

   He looked anxious like there was something that he really wanted to tell me so I am going to give him a chance. I know I will probably regret this but I took his out stretched hand anyways. With a tug we were on our way to only God knows where.

    As we made our way through the hallway we finally got to the front of the school. Once we were outside we took my motorcycle and he insisted he drive. Knowing this will be a little while I took out a piece of mint gum and popped it in my mouth and got on behind him. I scooted closer to him and encircled my arms around him. Then we were off.

   It took about a half an hour until we got there. I hopped off and took in the surroundings around me. It was breathtaking!  We were at a meadow and I can faintly hear the sound of a waterfall or stream nearby. Purple and white flowers covered the beautiful canvas.

   When I looked back and I saw Lucas staring at me in awe that then turned into embarrassment when he saw me catch him.

"Adeline I-I need to tell you something and please don't freak out. Um..... maybe we should sit down." He said as he nodded for me to follow him. When we sat down I looked at him to continue.

"Wait is that a new necklace? Uh, its v-very pretty-" he let the sentence hang and I could tell he was stalling. What is so bad that he couldn't tell me?

"Yeah its a family thing, I've had it since I could remember. Why are you changing the subject?" I'm starting to get really ticked off. The fear in his eyes was unmistakable and I looked at him questionably.

"I know what you are." My eyes widened and I stood up. So many things were swarming in my mind I couldn't thing straight.

" What do you mean? I-I don't know what you are talking about." Now I was backing up which caused him to get up as well.

" No please you don't understand I know you are a hunter." Right now I was about to run like I had dogs on my heals.

" I need to tell you something before you run. I'm a vampire." No-no-no please this can't be happen so I did the only thing that came to mind. I ran like hell!
