Chapter 6 ~ The climb for life

Wrentail was almost ready for the ascent he was going to take the kits with him he couldn't leave them he grabbed the and told them to claw onto his back even if they fell continue to cling to him he had made a little mask for the ascent he started the climb for survival he used up all of his strength tugging at the rock so he didn't slip and fall he made it 25% up the mountain that day he couldn't continue he told the kits they can let go he had forgotten how long he had been here in this hell hole he got up the next morning got the kits up and started there ascent he started his climb rocks slipped from under him a few times but he continued he wouldn't give up his adrenaline pumped and he rapidly and mindlessly climbed the giant slant of death and sorrow he thought of Mapleclaw then of his dream "i knew she was right." wrentail whispered he found another ledge he had went up a huge amount that day he went from 25% to 75% in a day he slept deeply that night he got up and mid night he kicked his mask to the hell hole below and it fell onto a black cat he didn't notice though Wrentail continued to climb the kits in his mouth he made it to 90% by dawn and he saw the top he grabbed the familiar ground of home and pulled himself up and walked into camp but when he got there he found almost half the clan dead he found rosedrop helping a few cats "What happened?" he asked Rosedrop turned in surprise "GO SEE THE LEADER WREN!" she Exclaimed he dropped the kits off at the nurses den and ran to the leaders den didn't request to enter and ran to the leaders side "Ionstar!" he cried ionstar was very sick "How many lives do you have?" he asked the leader "One" Ionstar said quietly Wrentail looked at him in shock "Wren, go to the moon stone with Lavaheart and become Leader i will die here by the time you return-" ionstar died finishing his sentence with a cough of blood Wrentail Got very angry and full of courage a marked burned onto his forehead he had 3 stars and his eyes were stars "I won't let your teaching or spirit die until i do Ionstar, my true mentor!" he pawed ionstars head for all of his knowledge Wrenstar walked out of the leaders den "I call on my ancestors to let me bring all my dead comrades back to life" more paws than normal formed above his head all of his dead comrades in a giant light was brought back to life "Alright Time for me to finish what ionstar started." he exclaimed
