"Did you really have to do that?" Amy mumbled.
"Course I did Amy, or we would've been caught!" Allen replied, a bit annoyed.
"Besides, were out so it's fine."
"Out? We could be chased by that guy and those things." Amy hissed. "We should've taken some food from the dorm before we ran, along with more cash."
"We got enough cash." Allen reached into his coat pockets, pulling out a wad of cash and giving it to Amy.
"That's you're share, don't go spending it all on clothes." Allen grinned, adjusting his hood. Amy looked at the wad of cash for a moment, then slipped it into her large black satchel.
"Let's get moving, it's going to be morning soon." Amy said, rubbing her hands together to keep them warm. "And we should go in a store or something, it's freezing out and i'm really not wearing good clothing for this." Allen looked at Amy's clothing, which was just a dark blue sweater, pajama pants, and brown winter boots.
"Oh right, I didn't give you any time to get ready." Allen mumbled.
Allen looked around for an open store, and spotted a gas station.
"Let's go there." Allen pointed at the gas station across the street. "It's the only place that's open."
"Are you sure? I mean, I know it's like seven in the morning but come on, there should be a Walmart open or something." Amy questioned, looking up at Allen, one of her eyes covered by the curly mess of dark brown hair.
"Then you suggest a place." Allen says, looking down at Amy like she can't do it. Amy looked around, trying to spot a open clothing shop in the dimly lit streets that wasn't a gas station. She was about to give up when she saw a target down the alley next to her and across the street.
"There's a Target." She pointed, a smug look on her face. "Let's go." Amy started down the alley, walking past a few stray cats, one looking up to her from behind a plank of plywood leaning on the side of one of the buildings, begging for her to take it with. It was a small cat with beautiful light blue eyes, it's fur so dirty that she couldn't tell what color the cat was.
