The morning is as assured as the tides and just as unstoppable. I need a few more hours of blackness. Not to sleep, but to spend just a little more time in my safe place, his arms. Waking up can be harsh when dreams are more beautiful than reality. The sun shone brilliantly and the water in the pond glittered invitingly. The lines of glares that shot for my eyelids awoke me. His arms were wrapped around me while he cocooned me. His face was just strangely alluring enough that I simply just wanted to look at it.
In that simple moment he wrapped his arms around me and I let my head rest upon his chest. All my thoughts stopped as if my heart took over from my head every time we were close. Next he would squeeze as if he needed to check I was really there with him, really there and really real... and I was, body and soul. I doubt anyone else ever felt the way I do about his arms, though I pity them if they did love this much and lost, because moving on isn't easy.
He flickered his eyes open when we heard Shivi yelling outside. He fluttered his eyelids momentarily to seize the glares of sunlight. He gazed into my eyes while Shivi kept calling Anurag's name, which were probably going unheard by him. I nudged him trying to make him realise the fact that Shivi was there. I obviously couldn't speak because I didnt want her to know that I was here.
"Anurag! Answer her." I whispered. And he got out of his trance. "Can you not answer her huh?" He said in his morning husky voice.
"Obviously not. She will know I am here and then calls a day full of teasing." I said while he flashed a smile. He pursed his lip together and shaked his head, implying that he won't speak.
"Anurag seriously?" I whispered to him and he nodded in a yes. I grabbed his grabbed his back and smacked him on his head.
"Oww" he whispered while he clutched his head in his hands and I smiled the from of victory.
"What happened anurag, are you okay?" Shivi asked.
"Yaa...I'm fine. Just knocked my head with the bag while getting up. What were you saying?" He said staring at me with an angry face.
"I was asking if Prerna is with you or not. Because I cannot find her anywhere." she said.
"No I don't know where Prime is." He said still wincing with pain. We heard Shivani mumble an okay and then leave. I get up and start adjusting my clothes.
"You are leaving?" He asked.
"Of course. Its obviously late and I don't want shivi to find us here." I say.
"Are you excited for today's trekking competition?" He asked.
"Yes I am. It's gonna be so exciting." I exclaimed. Just then I realised i did not pack anything for the trek. I continued, "I should get going. I need to pack stuff for the trek." I left the tent in jiffy but I was cautious enough to check that no was around. I strode quickly to my tent. two minutes into clearing packing the essentials, i hear the door flap of the tent move.
"There you are. I've been searching for you the entire morning." Shivi said. "Where were you? All this while. because i checked your tent almost thrice and you werent here."
"I went for a morning trek." i made an excuse. i could see Shivani wasnt convinced with that fact but she did not say anything.
"Fine. Get ready asap. We're about to leave. Buckle up we cannot win the challenge." She said and swiftly madechercway to the assembly ground. I zipped up the bag, tied the shoe laces and then walked towards the assembly ground. Seems that i am late since almost everybody is on the ground. I walked over to where shivi and anupam were standing. Next to them stood Anurag, Ronit and a girl. I never saw her before here.
"Hey Prerna! How are you?" Ronit called out to me.
"I am fine. Good to see you after such a while." I smiled at him.
"Btw Prerna, meet Nivedita. She's my sister. She insisted on joining today's trek. So I let her in." Anurag introduced me to the girl while she flashed her beautiful smile. Nivedita Nigeria was indeed very beautiful. Her eyes shone with the beauty as of an ocean and her hair rested upon her shoulders like a flowing waterfall.
"Hi Nivedita. Nice to meet you." I said and offered my hand for a handshake.
"Me too. I've been hearing about you so much. Anurag talks about you literally all the time." She gushes.
"Girls enough. Now let's discuss our stratergy for the climb." Anurag intervenes. He continues, "listen now that we are six of us we can climb in duos. It will be easy for us to reach the hill top first. Atleast one of us could reach there first."
"Anurag. That's an amazing idea. But how do we decide the pairs?" Anupam asked.
"Me and Prerna. Ronit and Shivani. You and Nivi Di." He said the names while looking at me while everyone agrees to him. Shit. He never really leaves me alone.

The mountain is pristine and white, even the dark green of the pines is mostly coated in the crystalline snow. I could stand here drinking it all in, listening to the silence that hangs so thickly in the frigid air. But we must keep moving to stay warm. I have the snow shoes, the jacket and the gloves, it's time to make tracks.
With every step I hear the soft crunch underfoot and it's better than music to my ears. It is the sound of the winter, and with it all of my favourite sports. The snow crunching under Anurags feet rythymed with the crunching sound under my feet and there are was something so beautiful about it.
"So, did you sleep well last night?" He asked. His face lighting up in the morning glory under the hazy sunshine and the snow mist.
"Best one I have ever had." I said telling him how beautiful spending time with him was like. He slowed down his pace and kept looking at me. I walked ahead of him while he walked behind me.

he mountain path grew wide where the snow was soft and then narrow in the rocky snowy passes. There were times it was barely there at all, no more than a mild disturbance in the snow. But always it lead upward to the peak, the only destination the five of them could keep in mind.
"Prerna . I am starting to have feelings for you. How can I stop it?" I heard him sigh behind me. I turned around to meet his hazel grey eyes.
"and why do you want it to stop?" I asked him evwn though I know the reason. It's obviously komolika.
"You very well know why I try being distant from you but everything about you draws me towards you." He said. "I cannot put you in danger just because of my feelings."
"Danger?! You are calling komolika a danger." I was shocked. I thought he loved her. She is her girlfriend after all. He remained quiet and did not speak anything.
"Do you even love komolika?"
