603 Sudden Changes

Senshi POV: Age - 53
I take the boys to a restaurant to speak and eat and the first thing I notice as we eat is the rings on their fingers. At first I thought it was two young guys being way too horny and out of control but as I kept watching them it became clear that they're together and that they're relationship is serious. We take our time eating and as I'm done I clear my throat and ask.
-So, how long have you been together?
A & Santi-Five years.
They share a look before they turn back to me smiling.
A-We met for the very first time five years ago.
Santi-Two as a couple.
-About the same time you have been working. Do you work together?
Santi-Yes dad.
-Are you considering moving to live together? Not that is going to make that big of a difference. You practically already live together.
Santi-Dad.
-Is the truth.
I lean in, my elbows on the table and so I ask him.
-I want to know what are your plans and/or intentions towards Santi?
Santi-Don't answer that.
A-Is alright. I can handle this.
I wait patiently and he gives the question some deep thought.
A-My intentions with him. Well, I intend on living a happy life with him. I want to build our future together with him.
He smiles up at Santiago and he just makes a face at him before he turns back at me.
A-That's why I want to ask for your blessing on our engagement.
I sigh and so I sit back and I slide my hands on the table. They understand the message and they grab my hands.
-You look good together and you look happy as well. I have no reason to deny you my blessing.
I let go of Santiago's hand and I reach out for his face.
-As long as you're happy, healthy and good. You can have my blessing.
Santi-I got all three of those covered and done.
I smile and so I turn to his boyfriend Adam.
-As for you, don't just make him happy but be happy, together.
I let go of the both of them and I stand up.
-Take your time to catch up.
I go to the car and I sigh with a mix of feelings. My son, he's grown too quickly and I couldn't be prouder but I still cry as he will go away to start his own family. The only thing that soothes me is the fact that even though he doesn't needs me anymore he does want me in his life. He's not my little boy anymore but that's alright. I sigh and turning on the CD I start writing on my phone just while I wait.

Three years later
Koray POV: Age - 32
I look at my wife as she tosses and turns on the bed, on her sleep. Being pregnant makes comfort hard to find. I sigh and hearing the door open I see how our pet dog looks inside curious. I call him over and he comes resting his head on my lap, I take the cue and scratch his ears gently.
-You can't sleep either.
He yawns and he looks at me licking my fingers for a moment before he let's me keep scratching his ears.
-Come up here.
He perks up looking at me for a second before he jumps on the couch and he lies almost completely on me. I keep him with me as I keep watching my wife sleeping and eventually both me and my pet dog fall asleep.
The next day I wake up alone and covered with a blanket. I sit up and grabbing my things I turn to get ready for the day but I find wait as the shower is already busy. I knock on the door as I call her out.
-Jess.
It takes her a while to answer.
J-Morning sleepyhead.
She draws the curtain to look at me.
J-You still look sleepy.
-How is Solange?
J-Dressed, fed and guarded and playing in her room with her toys and the dog.
-You cooked breakfast?
J-Just a simple boiled eggs.
-You should have woken me to do everything.
J-It was simple and I could do it, besides, you looked tired and so at peace.
-I'm still going to do it and you know where I'm going to start helping.
J-No but I suspect. Where will you start helping?
-I'll help you shower.
J-Don't make me wait too long.
She goes back in the shower and laughing I get undressed and together in the shower with her. Our shower is very big but we get close together.
-How do you feel?
J-Good. I'm scared that I get any kind of accident. That's why I'm trying to be as careful and extra careful as I can.
-Nothing will happen. I can assure you that. You have nothing to fear.
J-I know but I'm feeling just very sensitive, sensible. I hate my own mood changes.
-Really? I like them. Is fun, amusing and I really love that. I find it adorable.
J-You big fool.
-Your fool.
She laughs and helping her shower I stop often on her belly but it seems I'm always late until at one point I stay there longer and I laugh as I feel our baby kicking.
-She kicked me.
I feel her holding my face and I lean into her hand.
J-She loves you already.
-She loves you too. I want to hold her in my arms.
J-She wants to go shopping and I want to spend our day relaxed together as a family.
-Alright but let's shower first, get dressed, eat and then go.
She nods and with a gentle kiss we keep getting ready for our day.
