"Yes! I finally got the game! I knew waiting in line for this was going to be worth it!" you jump into the air as you're rejoicing over your tedious, but very fruitful patience. Sword Art Online, you weren't lucky enough to get to play the beta, but all the reviews from beta testers that you read online spoke so highly of the game, beautiful grass and strong and formidable enemies, as well as strong raid bosses! You got paid extra for working overtime at your part time job, just to get yourself a NerveGear, a state of the art virtual reality headset designed by the great Akihiko Kayaba. Kayaba is a great scientist who made multiple headlines in news articles, online tabloids, and video game magazines. "Sword Art Online, it's finally been released and I get to actually play it! It's like a dream come true!" The game finishes installing on your computer as you put your NerveGear on your head, laying down on your bed in a comfortable position. You heart's already racing as the cords are plugged in and a smile grows widely on your face as you close your eyes and mutter those magic words. "Link start!" As you say that, a bright white light flashes and a assortment of cylinders fall down before you, you look around as you're transported into a futuristic room, suddenly a menu pops up saying "Please Enter Your Name" you think about it for a good minute before typing it in on a virtual keyboard, you then press the green button, confirming your name, a mirror then forms in front of you, at first you see your true self, but arrows align with your hair, face, and body, you recognize this from normal MMORPG's, the game wants you to create your character, you scroll through the possible choices, deciding carefully with each choice, after confirming your character's look, a blue light envelops you for a second, making you close your eyes, as you open them, you are greeted by a crowded bazaar, stands selling all kinds of goods, like potions and crystals while other stands are selling weapons to newcomers who aren't sure what their weapon of choice should be. You walk to a weapons shop and look at the different types of weapons, daggers, scimitars, swords; both one and two handed, lances, shields, maces, and axes. You have trouble deciding but then decide to take things simple and you buy a sword and shield, to balance offense with defense. You go to a goods shop and purchase an assortment of healing items and Teleport Crystals, a good player needs these essentials in any MMO. As you go out to the field, you see people already fighting the low level enemies like Wild Boars, Spiders, and Wild Wolfs. "Oh damn, can't let everyone get ahead of me!" You run out into the field as you run up to a Wild Boar, it's name clear as day, and it's health bar a bright glowing grass green, no one's attacked it yet, you draw your sword and shield and charge at it, your intention, to kill. You somehow slay the beast, but your health bar isn't looking too good. It'd help if the game taught you how to use skills that the beta testers talked about in the reviews you read, as you go back to the town you quickly heal yourself up, you sigh and sit down, looking towards the sky and check the time which was in your peripheral vision, 20:00, it's time to get ready for bed! You were too busy fighting the boar to keep track of the time! You quickly open the menu and scroll down to log out, but the button didn't work, then all of the sudden you were teleported to the beginning area, as well as everyone else playing the game. The sky turned red and something bled from the sky, that was when everything went from good, to a living hell...
