"Exactly, I told her that this bracelet is my life-" The young individual is halted by swift knocks on her apartment door, making her jump up a little at her desk.
Sure, she's used to living alone but the night before, she went out with some friends to the movie theater, not being able to recover from the horror film they watched. Meaning, she'll jump up at every little noise she hears. Such as a pen falling or an alarm going off.
She looks up at the clock hanging above her desk, slightly bewildered.
"Why is someone knocking on my door at 1:45 A.M.?" She thought, contemplating the possible reasons for a person to be at her door at midnight.
"Bye, I'm going to call you later." She announces to her friend before ending the call.
She pushed her chair back, standing up while also debating on whether or whether not she should open the door, putting her pen in between the page to not forget her spot in her school textbook.
"Why the heck are you knocking on my door at-" She looks at the individual standing in her doorway. Her heart drops as she identifies the male, his lengthy black hair slightly covered his dark brown eyes, his bangs poking his eyes, his lanky body figure, his beauty mark right above his top lip added to his natural features.
"What are you doing here?" She asks, her voice slightly quivering due to the shock.
The individual held their head down low. They could not face the one best friend they betrayed.
"Y/n..." His deep but somewhat raspy voice adding to the inner shock. She hasn't seen or talked to this one "best friend" in what felt like decades. I mean, how could she? He's the one that vanished.
As she goes to slam the door in his face, he stops her.
"I need your help."
Hearing those 4 words made anger rise up in Y/N. "After what he did, he deserves to rot in hell!" She thought.
"Y/n? Y/n-" In one swift movement, Mark is on the ground. Her punch clearly caught him by surprise.
She crouches down to his level, "What makes you think you can come here, asking me for help?!" She spat, her loud voice echoing down the narrow hallway, not caring if she woke up the entire building.
"If I ever see you again, I'll make you wish you were never born." She threatens in a blood-curling tone.
She pushed herself back up, taking one last look at the petrified individual who struggled to get back onto his feet, soon slamming her door shut.
