Grade 10

September came around and I've started grade 10

Apprehensive and nervous to start all over again

Overwhelming tests and projects destined my way

Summer a distant memory, gone is the fun and play

Fears of friends coming and going cloud my mind

Repeatedly telling myself I won't begin this year blind

Aware of my surrounds I let loose and made more friends

My old friends are loyal and close and not just in it for pens

Its been a year and I have never attended a high school party

I realized it's fine now, I am accepting of my title as a smarty

I understand the groups made within us crazy high school teens

How some girls walk around as if they are entitled to being queens

High school will come and go faster than a simple blink of an eye

My new motto is have no regrets and live hard before you die

It's inevitable that one day our precious high school life will be done

So I might as well enjoy the ride, think positive and have a ton of fun

The high school life is defiantly fun having that amount of freedom

If you keep your nose clean and focus you will succeed for those reasons

I wrote exactly one year later from last poem....obviously you can see my mind frame has changed a lot!

I hope you liked it.
