Is this a Nightmare?

Abigail did her best to get her arms and legs working so she could crawl as far away as she could from the escape pod as she heard male voices telling her she was safe in the distance of the roaring of many male voices in her head.

She found a wall in front of her as her arms and legs were starting to shake from use. She was able to get her back to the wall before her legs and arms refused to support her any longer.

She laid down with her head facing the escape pod.

"Hay, Roger what is wrong with her eyes?" E.J. asked as he saw the female's eyes were solid black.

E.J. watched as Roger moved closer to get a scan of the female's head to hear her whimper.

He was rather glad she had stopped the screaming and seemed to be calming down.

"Scans are suggesting she has telepathic abilities," Roger said as he stepped back to give the female some room.

Abigail shook her head trying to block the voices she was hearing in her head.

That didn't work, she closed her eyes trying to focus on what the medical droid said as she put her hands over her ears.

Telepathic Abilities.

It was those abilities that attracted the Thing to her parents' ship.

The reason why they were dead.

They had tried to save her by putting her in the escape pod but

Abigail opened her eyes hearing a hum in her mind. She looks in the direction of the escape pod.

Oh, Gods.

She struggled to lift her hand up to point her finger toward the escape pod, as she whimpered with fear.

She tried to speak but her throat was dry and sore from all the screaming she had done so nothing would come out.

She watched as IT melted into the floor before her eyes.

Abigail squeezed her eyes closed to put all the energy she had left into a scream.

Everything that happened to lead her to be in the escape pod had been for nothing was Abigail's thought before her mind slipped into an emotional darkness that made her unaware of the world around her. The only place she could truly escape from The Nightmare.
