when jaemin got home, he was exhausted for no reason.

he played his favorite playlist, 'needy' by ariana grande started playing. it was one of his favorite songs. although it was hard to sing along to it, it was still his favorite.

he just layed there, on his bed. listening to music. jaemin's parents were always busy overseas. in fact, they barely know their own son. that's why taeil is like a mother to jaemin.

he knew taeil had his own family to take care of, so he didn't try to bother taeil that much.

but sometimes, jaemin just wanted love.

he wanted affection.

taeil gave him that, but it wasn't enough. jaemin felt bad for bothering him that much. poor taeil, giving love to three main people at once. of course, to his friends too.

jaemin was thankful for the love taeil gave him, but it still wasn't enough.

at home he's just there.

nobody.

that's what jaemin's used to.

nobody's there to welcome him home everyday after school.

he eats every meal alone at home.

he doesn't have anyone to say bye to when he leaves the house.

he has no one to say goodnight to every night.

even the little things, like a simple "good morning" every day.

when he gets nightmares, who's there to comfort him?

if jaemin never went to the bubble tea place that day, he would've never met taeil.

the day he met taeil, jaemin was almost ready to give up.

what was the point if nobody cared?

when he stood at the edge of the bridge, jaemin decided he wasn't going to give up.

he knew he was stronger than that.

although nobody cared, jaemin wasn't going to do it.

he was strong.

instead of jumping off that bridge, jaemin walked around the city. somehow ended up at the bubble tea place. he didn't order anything, though.

he just sat there, staring at the table.

expressionless.

tear stained eyes.

taeil was worried for the boy.

although jaemin was just a stranger, he made thai milk tea with boba for the both of them and sat across from jaemin.

at first, jaemin didn't even notice taeil. but when taeil pushed one of his drinks towards jaemin, he looked up and saw taeil.

that's when he broke down.

just seeing someone look at him like that, offering him something so kind.

he was touched.

he doesn't remember the last time someone was this worried about him.

someone who cared.

someone who wanted to help.

but now, he has someone.

even though it was just one person, it still meant a lot.
