I got ready in record time leaving my apartment after 5 minutes. I decided to dress casually in a pair of skinny jeans, a blank tshirt, and her converse. I didnt have time to apply any makeup, not that I ever wear any anyway. It took another 5 minutes to get to the coffee shop. Once I stepped inside I looked around for Peter, I couldn't see anyone that looked like him from what I remember so i just went up to the counter to order. After telling the barista what I wanted I was getting my wallet out to pay when I heard a familiar voice from behind me say "Allow me."
I knew instantly it was Peter, I was about to tell him that it was okay but he moved faster than my mouth did.
"Th--thank you" I managed to stammer.
Peter only smiled at me, so I took that as my cue to move out of his way. But instead of letting me move to the end of the counter he grabbed my hand and held me there.  I didnt know how to respond or act when he did this. So I just stood there awkwardly.
"Shall we find a place to sit?" Peter asked after getting our drinks.
"Ummmm...yeah I guess" I responded while mentally facepalming.
After sitting down Peter just started drinking his coffee, he didnt try to start a conversation or force me to talk to him, which I was grateful for. Eventually I initiated conversation by asking "Why did you want to see me again?"
Peter smiled before responding "Well Emma it's not everyday that you literally run into a beautiful woman, I couldn't let that pass me by."
I was at a loss for words, no one had ever called me beautiful before and I didnt know how to respond to it. After a while Peter said "I'm sorry if that was forward of me." with a cheeky smile.
I couldn't help but smile at him before telling him "Its not that, it's just no one has called me beautiful before, so I'm not sure how to respond."
At this his cheeky smile turned to a sad smile. "You should be told that you're beautiful every single day."
I'm sure by now my face was a crimson red but I still was able to respond with an eye roll.
Peter was not a fan of that, he was still smiling, however he kept insisting that it was true. After a few hours we decided we should probably leave, so we did and we went our separate ways.
Later that day I got a text from none other than Peter.
P- I had a wonderful time today, I would love to see you again.
After I was sure that he wasnt messing with me I was able to type out a response.
E- Just say when. I had fun hanging out with you today and would love to do it again also. :)
Hopefully this wont backfire on me, I thought as I went about my day.
