“Saraphine!” My sister yelled from downstairs. I groaned as I put a pillow over my head to block out the sound of a annoying, little brat I so call my sister. “Saraphine!” I hear her voice ocw more, but it echoed through my head. Stupid mind link, I blocked her out of my head and sat up. “I am not deaf, you stupid idiot!” I yelled back to her. Claire slowly opened my door and smirked deviously,“Come on, Sara. Today is not going to be that bad.” I rolled my eyes and looked at her with a frown. “Claire, you just emphasized the word ‘that’.
I am never going to find my mate, even if I tried.” She looked at me with sympathy then walked over to my bed. “You are Saraphine, Daughter of Alpha Thomas and Luna Jessica of the Dark Night pack. Any guy would kill to be your mate, Saraphine.” Her wisdom and choice of words is what makes me smile everyday. Even though Clairessence was a pain in the ass, she was still a genuine mutt at heart. She looked at me for a few seconds before she stood up from the bed. “Now, if you would excuse me. I think today is our fiirst day of school.” She walked out and I looked at the time. 6:30 a.m.
I hopped out of bed and straight into the bathroom. I just took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, curled my hair, put on my makeup, and found something to wear.
Downstairs.Now.
My father mind linked me and I sighed as I finished getting ready. Ever since the incident with my mom, everything changed, My father changed. He was overprotective over us, especially over me. For an example, last year an omega had enough guts to ask me out and trust me, when I say guts, meaning he actually grew some balls and asked me. As I was obligated to the rules, I respectfully declined. My father easily found out when one of his “Protectors” was eavesdropping on the conversation. That kid was so terrified when my dad personally came up to him and told him, more like yell, to never ask me out or he kill him with his bare hands.
I walked downstairs with my bag around my arm and my phone in my right hand. I was greeted with six pairs of inhuman eye color, Trey, Claire, and my father. I bowed down to my father then kissed his cheek. “Good morning father.” I turned to his beta as he gave me a warm smile. “Goodmorning, Beta Trey.” I nod my head towards him. I looked at my father again, who sat across from where I was sitting. “Saraphine. you need to be careful today. both you and Clairessence.” I heard Claire grunt at her name. I mentally laughed then focused back on the Alpha. “This year, we are combining the school.” I looked at him with a shocked expression. “With who?” he leaned in closer into my ear and whispered,“Blakewood High.”
I gasped. “Humans?” I glanced at claire, who looked distant, well more like in thought, but same thing. I have not seen a human since the incident. What makes makes me hate them is that they took my mother away from Claire and I. They took my father’s mate. They took our Luna.I stood up and crossed my arms. “Why.” I asked inflamed with anger. “Beta Trey thought it was a good idea to combine the schools so our pack can lay-low.” He said quietly. I snorted, “Was there any other option?” “It was either that or you getting bonded and marked by the Blood Moon Pack’s Alpha.” Great. I don’t know what was worse. Combining the schools or being mated to Darius. I think the combination of humans and werewolves was pretty treacherous. “ I am going.” I stood up to retrieve my keys, but my father was faster. He pulled my keys away from me and set it behind him“Please be careful, Sara.” My father pleaded. I rolled my eyes and I looked over at beta Trey and Claire. “Come on Claire.” I said then walked out the door.
