Lame training?

“Move your asses!” Beta Trey yelled. I rolled my eyes as I finished running the perimeter for the 6th time. If you ask me, Beta Trey doesn’t know know how to train a pack very well, all we do is run. “Okay, everyone run through these obstacle course three times, then that will be it for today.” He said as he pointed at the lame obstacle course that he set up himself. I didn't want to burst his bubble, but it looked like a course for 7 year olds.

“When are we going start sparring?” Jerald said in the back. Of course he would be the first one to say something about sparring. He was always the most violent one in the pack.  He would get into  fights with other packs and play fights with humans. The poor sucker never got his fair share in fights because he is too much of a pussy when it comes to pack wars.

“You all will get to sparr once you are ready.”  Everyone snickered at his answer. Everyone knows that it meant ‘never in a million years.’ and that’s how we are ranked #4 in the strongest pack in the U.S, we have this dude. “Now get to the course, Now!” Everyone groaned and walked over to the lame course.

“This is why I chose to be rogue.” Lexy muttered under her breath. I glared at her for a second then looked at the ‘Obstacle Course’ “Lexy, you were practically begging my father to not kill you once you crossed our territory.” I chuckled as I saw her face redden. “Shut up Sara, You’re afraid of your own dad too.” I will admit that she is right, my dad has a tendency to use his power against me sometimes and it scares me a little.

As we breezed through the course 3 times, everyone started going to their cars to go home. I reached in my bag for my key,but only to be stopped by Beta Trey. “You’re staying here for a couple more hours.”

“What?”

“I said that you are staying here for a cou-”

“I heard what you said.”

He sighed then crossed his arms. “Your father put you on patrol till 10.” I groaned then dropped my stuff on the concrete. “Are you serious? Patrol?” I whined, but he just shrugged. “Well, I have to go, I have a date to attend to.” He said quite proudly. I looked at him, “Your mother doesn’t count as a dinner date, beta Trey.” I pointed out. He turned around to glare at me again, “Ha ha ha ha, very funny.” With that he got in his car and pulled out.

I sighed as I mine linked the head tracker.

“Hey reese, I guess I’ll be patrolling with you guys till 10. need any help?”

“Hey Sara, yeah, I guess you can run the perimeters and check on all the guards. What did you do this time?”

“I got into an altercation with some jocks and saving a nerd. Nothing too bad.”

“Poor nerd, you need to teach him some self-defense.”

I scoffed when he said that, he knew that I hated humans so why suggest m  teaching a wimpy human self- defense?

“Funny, later Reese.”

“Later, Luna.”

I cut off the mindlink and started running the perimeters. I would let Maddalena take over, but I thought against it.

“And why not?” She asks. Of course she mysteriously reappears back into my brain. “Are you seriously going to ask me this question?” I said in a Are-you-stupid tone. “I’m sorry that I left you when you spoke to my father, but I was timid.” Of course she was, it was our father speaking to us in authority. It was like he wanted us to submit to them.

I rolled my eyes and pushed her back to the farthest part in my brain  I didn’t want to speak with her at the moment, I was still mad at her. I scouted the rest of the perimeter, no danger found anywhere. I ran back to the tracker’s headquarter, where all the trackers and guards hang out during their patrol. As I opened the door, I found maybe half of the guards in here playing Call of Duty Ghost and Reese just chilling.

Reese is like your typical high school jock, but he doesn’t mess with anyone but the people in our pack. Human jocks, well, they look up to him. not because he was the captain, but because he gets all the girls drooling over him. When I say all, I mean all except for me.  I knew about his little crush on me since the 7th, and we kind of kissed in the 10th grade.

“Hey Reese.” I said as I plopped down on a chair next to him.” he looked over to me and gave me a nod before turning towards the tv again. “How was your run, princess?” I literally cringed at the nickname that he gave me gave me. “Don’t call me that.”

“Okay,Baby girl.”

“Or that.”

“Sweetheart?”

“Hi, My name is Saraphine”

“What?”

“It just seem like you forgot my name.”

He stared at me with a blank expression before getting it. “Oh.” He said. I laughed and nodded “Yeah, oh.” He rolled his eyes and waved me off. “It’s 10, go to bed, we have school in the morning, princess.” “Saraphine.” I scowled. I grabbed my keys and walked out. That’s when an unfamiliar scent hit my nose.

I ran back towards the headquarters, bursting throught the doors. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Reese stood up from his chair and walked  over to me. "Princess, What's wrong?" He looked at me, scanning my body to see any wounds or injuries.

I looked at him and pushed him away, "Get everyone ready, There's rogues, I can smell them. Get everyone in their positions and I'll mndlink my Father and Beta Trey."
