An unexpected turn of events

Story plan.

Inspiration/s:
Blood brothers by Willy Russell. Basically the idea of two very close people finding out a huge (possibly life changing) secret about one another.
So Awkward. I based the characters names and personalities off of them. Leah - Lilly, Jess - Jas, Owen - Ollie, Mary - Martha.
Chapter 1- the mystery box:
.Mary and Owen are cleaning out his attic when they come across a box.
.Mary asks what's inside it and can she see?
.Owen replies that it's boring stuff and won't let her look in.
Chapter 2- the call:
.Mary gets a call from her friends Jess and Leah.
.She mentions the mystery box.
.Jess has a plan.
Chapter 3- the adventure:
.Jess sneaks into Owen's attic that night.
.She finds the mystery box and opens it.
.There are love letters to Mary - she gasps.
.Then she hears Owen coming and runs away.
Chapter 4- the letters:
.Jess is acting quiet - that's unusual for her.
.Mary asks and Jess gives her the love letters from her bag.
.Mary gasps.
.Owen approaches.
Chapter 5- the confession:
.Mary drags him into a nearby cupboard.
.Owen asks why she did that.
.She shows him the letters.
.He confesses.
.She hugs him.
Chapter 6- the aftermath:
.This takes place at lunch.
.Leah, Jess, Mary and Owen are sitting together.
.Jess asks if there is any news.
.Leah starts talking about an art contest.
.Owen and Mary whisper across the table "should we tell them?" "Yes".
.They announce that they are a couple.
.Leah and Jess are happy for them.
.The news spreads fast but they don't care.
.Back home (later), Mary tells her mum and Owen calls his parents.
.They congratulate him.
