"The power of one creature can be much more overwhelming than the sun but to harness that kind of power you must work... HARD!"−Unknown, a guide to the powers of life.

The leaves in front of the wall shook in the light breeze that came through the cavern. All was calm, and safe. Although there was tension. On the opposite side of the wall a large number of small camp fires burned, while the shapes huddled around the fires had a slalom aura around them. Some were young others old yet the fear they held was unmistakable.

"There's no point siting around here starving to death when there could be a banquet of food behind that stupid wall." The silence was finally broken by a young boy who seemed to be angrier than he was starving.

"Nickoli! Be quite if you keep yelling the elders will have you killed!" An old man who was huddled next to the boy who had spoken.

"I don't care if they kill me I'm starving. We are all starving! Plus I'd love to know what's on the other side of this damn wall!" Nickoli yelled in reply. "If everyone here is too scared to find out what there hiding then ill hind out my sel−." He didn't get to finish. There was a loud bang and Nickoli fell to the ground in a heap. One or two of the other people had gotten up and run to another group as if looking for comfort. The old man just sat there and shook his head.

"I told you Nick you shouldn't speak out."

"O shut up would you! The bullet missed and judging but the tingle I felt as it passed it was a tazers." The words came from the boy.

"Well how long are you going to sit there?"

"Until the sizzling sound goes away." The boy shifted his eyes to a spot on the ground that was now partly blackened, an electric sizzle coming from the center. "All i need is some time to relax and then ill be fine."

Another gunshot filled the air and Nickoli stilled. The shot hit true to its corse and split his spinal cord.
