Chapter 8

Lisa's POV

I'm currently doing my school works here in our mini library inside our mansion. It will probably take me an hour or more to finish this.

I'm a third year management student at LMU which is owned by my family. My family owns different businesses around Asia, North America and South America. Being the only heir of the Manoban I'm opt to take management course because I'll be the one to handle our businesses.

Since my grandparents died my dad was the only one who handled and still handling our businesses with the help of my mom but sometimes my mom is at our restaurants because she's an international chef.

I was interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Open!" I said and my mom enters with a glass of milk that made me smile.

She places the glass on the table and take a sit beside me.

"Why are you still up, eomma?" I asked her.

"That was supposed to be my question to you. It's already 11 and you're still up." She said while fixing my slightly messed bangs.

"I'm just finishing a school work. Now you answer my question, mom." She laughs at me then I drink my milk.

"Me and your dad just arrived. Your appa is so tired that's why I asked him to take a sleep now then the maid said that you're here so I made my way here. I missed talking with my baby."

I hug her and kiss her cheeks.

"Awww, that's so sweet, mom. I missed this too. So how are you, mom?"

"I'm good as well as your appa. The businesses are extending bigger each time that made us so busy. I'm planning to sell our restaurants so that I can full help your appa with our businesses."

I look at her eyes and I can see sadness on those.

"What? Mom, you can't give up your restaurants just to help appa. I know there are a lot of people can help him. I do know how much you love cooking and your restaurants. That's your passion, mom."

"I know, hun but I need to give it up. Your appa needs me more than my restaurants and passion."

"For sure dad won't let you do that,mom. I'll tell this to Dad." I asked and I'm about to stand up but she pulls me down to sit.

"You can't tell it to your appa. Let me tell this to him once I've sold our restaurants. I need to give my 100 percent time and support to our family. You do know how much I love you and your father. I love you both more than myself. Business is one of your dad's happiness." She said to me. I cup her cheeks and make her look at me.

"But, mom cooking and having those restaurants are also your happiness."

"Lis, like what I've said I love your father more than I love myself and loving means sacrificing. I can sacrifice my own happiness for the happiness of your father. Hun, always remember that if you really love someone you will sacrifice everything for them because they will always be your first priority. I know at the end making him happy will make me happy as well.

I pull her for a hug and rub her back. Since I was a kid I witnessed my mom's love and passion for cooking and having different branches of her restaurants. I adore my mother's love for my father.

I break our hug and look at her.

"Thank you for your love you have for this family, mom. Appa and I are so blessed to have you in our lives. I love you, mom." I kiss her forehead long enough to let her feel my love for her.
