(In the living room of Mr and Mrs Evans, they are discussing until they called their daughter)
Mr Evans: I think we should let Mabel know about our travelling and who she will be staying with.

Mrs Evans: Yes,you are right.(calls out Mabel's name)Mabel!Mabel!

Mabel: (she answers from the room)Yes,mummy.

Mrs Evans: Come down stairs please.(Mabel arrives in the living room)Your father and I have something to tell you. Have your seat.(Mabel sits down)Darling, you go first.

Mr Evans: (He sits up)Alright. Mabel,I and your mother are traveling to Abuja and we will be there for a long time so you will be staying with your uncle till we are back.

Mabel: Which uncle?

Mrs Evans: How many uncles do you have?

Mabel: Uncle Jeffery?

Mrs Evans: Yes, of course.

Mabel: Why Uncle Jeffery?Must it be him?

Mr Evans: He's the only one we can trust for now. Maybe as time goes on, we'll come and pick you and we'll all go to Abuja.

Mabel: Ok. So,when are guys going?

Mr Evans: We are leaving tomorrow.

Mabel: (she stands up to hug her parents) I'll miss you both.

Mrs Evans: We'll miss you, too.

Mabel: But why can't I just stay at home alone?

Mr Evans: We want someone who will watch over you.

Mabel: The neighbors can watch over me.

Mrs Evans: We can't leave our daughter in the hands of common neighbors.

Mabel: But we trust them...

Mr Evans: No, Mabel. Don't argue.

Mabel: Okay, okay, okay. Safe trip.(she stands up to go to her room).

Mrs Evans: I don't think it's a good idea leaving our daughter alone with a man who just got married. You know what uncles do to their  nieces this days.

Mr Evans: If he tries that rubbish, he'll be severely punished.

Mrs Evans: Ok o.
