Chapter 1: Reunite

//Hi everybody welcome back! This chapter has 1056  words. AGAIN ENDGAME SPOILERS!!

20 years later

"Tonya and Mae Parker!! Stop chasing each other!" I shouted as I watched both twins run around the kitchen island twice.

"Mom!! She stole my shirt!" Tonya whined as Mae stuck her tongue out and held Tonya's shirt up in the air.

"Give me that!" I said snatching it from Mae's grip and handing it back to Tonya.

"Both you girls go back up to your room and stop messing around, please!" I shouted as I watched them walk up the stairs.

"But dad said I could wear her shirt today!" Mae whined.

"I did?" Peter asked, coming back in from walking our Golden Retriever, Thor.

"Yeah..." Mae said trailing off. You could tell she was lying by the look she gave off.

"Why don't you go upstairs and get that pretty dress we bought you a few days ago, you know the pink one?" Peter said, as he knelt down beside Mae giving her a warm smile.

"Okay dad, just for you." Mae said before kissing his cheek and running up the stairs.

It hurt me to see her happy. Today we were going to visit Tony's grave, and then have lunch with Pepper and Morgan after.

~Time Skip~

Peter placed the flowers on the tombstone, which Mae suggested, were Lilacs. The tombstone was a little bit cracked, but you could still see Tony's name. It was right by the lake, across from Tony and Pepper's house.

"Come on, lets go." I said as I wiped my tears and Peter's. Both girls knew what happened, with Tony, the snap, and Thanos. His death affected them the way it did with Peter and I.

"Please don't cry mommy." Mae said as she grabbed my other free hand with her tiny one.

I can see her staring at the scars on my hands and wrists. It's everywhere, even on my body. All the fights I've had with Haywire have done great things to me. Even though they've seen it they've never said anything.

Pepper prepared a nice dinner for us, chicken and vegetables.

"I'm so glad you guys could make it, Morgan loves when Tonya and Mae come over." Pepper said with a smile as she went back into the kitchen to grab drinks for us.

"Anytime Pepper, we enjoy coming over." I said smiling back. I looked over and could see Peter looking down at his lap with sadness all over his face.

I reached for his hand under the table and held it as he looked at me with a slight smile.

'You okay?' I mouthed to him.

'Yeah. I'm fine' He mouthed nodding and looking up as Pepper handed us the drinks.

"So, anything new with you two?" Pepper asked as she took a bite of her chicken.

"No, not really. The girls are still growing, and Peter and I are doing our jobs still. Not much has changed." I said as I took a sip of my drink.

"That's good. Not much has happened here either. Only thing that's changed is the books Morgan loves to read. First it was Hunger Games and now it's Harry Potter." Pepper giggled.

"What about Star Wars?" Peter asked as he looked across the table at Morgan.

"Star Wars? What's that-"

"YoU dOnT kNoW WhAt sTaR wArS iS?" Peter asked, his voice completely cracking at the end.

"Errr...no." Morgan said shrugging as she grabbed her plate, motioning for the girls to finish their conversations in their room.

"It's only like yesterday you guys were 15. How time passes. Soon enough your kids will be 15 too and you'll wish they were still 12." Pepper said as she looked behind her to see Morgan, Tonya, and Mae all playing.

Pepper was right. This was three years ago. My kids are sophomores at Midtown High now.

"Mom, is it okay if Michael and I go to the movies tomorrow?" Mae asks coming downstairs.

"Michael? Who's Michael?" Peter asked as he sat up straight, turning down the volume on the tv.

"Her boyfriend." I told him.

Peters eyes widened before he put on his jacket.

"I-I-I'll be right back-" Peter said before opening the front door and closing it.

"What's wrong with him?" Mae asked.

"I have no idea, but yes you can go with him. I expect you home by 11 pm." I said, still thinking about why Peter was acting so weird.

Peter's P.O.V.

I sprinted to MJ's house as fast as I could. I reached her apartment door and knocked frantically, my forehead sweating.

The door opened to reveal an annoyed MJ as she crossed her arms.

"What do you want loser? Also why are you sweating?" She asked as she looked at my face confused.

"I-I- I need help-" I said out of breath.

"Mae- She has a boyfriend- I- I don't know what to do! Should I be protective? Should I let her do what she wants? I'm- I don't think I'm ready-"

"Peter stop rambling, come inside." Mj said as she stepped aside. I walked in and sat on the couch, she sat next to me.

"Look, it's perfectly normal for her to be dating right now. She's a sophomore right?" She asked.

I nodded and she continued with her speech.

"Okay, well you and y/n dated sophomore year. In my opinion, I think you should meet this boy the next time he takes her out on a date which is...." Mj said looking for me with an answer.

"Tomorrow! It's tomorrow! You're right MJ I'll meet him and I'll decide if he's good for Mae to date. I just want her to find someone who will love her as much as I loved y/n and will protect her. Be a gentleman you know?" I said with a smile.

"There you go, that's the spirit! You go meet him tomorrow and then tell me all about it later." Mj said as I started heading for the door.

"I will. Thank you so much MJ." I said as I reached in to hug her.

"Anytime loser, anytime." She said hugging me back.
