Winston walked in front of the agents, holding his papers out. "Agent 47 left no evidence behind at King's Row, as per usual. However, there are two things I have found out of the ordinary. We found a strange device implanted on Genji's head. I ran some tests on it—in secret, I might add, and I discovered that it creates a backdoor into any electronics—even omnics—that allows another user to control it."
"So what you're saying is that the ICA smuggled in supplies for him? It's not the first they've done so," Jack said.
Winston shook his head. "But it wasn't the ICA; it couldn't have been. This device is the first of its kind. It was crafted by someone with special skills in technology."
The agents appeared to get the idea. Only one face came to mind fitting that repertoire.
"In addition, 47 couldn't have known about the Eyes of London. The ICA should be undermanned at the moment, and they were only created the day before the mission. Someone is feeding information to the enemy, and I know exactly who it is!" Winston said.
The team and its three leaders burst into Sombra's room, busting the lock and aiming their weapons at her. The hacker whipped around, clearly not expecting this visit. Behind her was a purple screen, with multiple words typed alongside a picture.
"Fareeha?" Ana noticed.
Sombra smirked, hitting the send button. "Took you long enough."
Winston growled. "You sent contracts on our family to the ICA, so you would force us to fight them!"
"And you let me." For Winston, it was like being stabbed in the heart. "Despite what everyone said, you heard me out and patched me up. Then Jacky decided I was no longer a threat, and it was easy-going for me."
"But why us?" asked an agent.
"Because we were an army." They were surprised to hear Winston answer instead. "Sombra lost all of Talon and needed a new army to kill Agent 47. She took the chance to kill two birds with one stone."
Sombra held her hands out, a purple screen of an applauding audience appearing behind her. As she bowed, the screen wrapped around the hacker, and she disintegrated into purple binary.
"Bastard's been playing us like puppets since the beginning!" yelled Soldier 76, followed by the crash and sparkling of his foot connecting with a computer counter.
"My Fareeha! Winston, we have to protect her!" Ana shouted.
The ape looked solemnly in her eye. "You can't. Helix's schedule shows that Pharah has been elected to test a new invention of theirs at their own headquarters. Not even Shrike or Soldier 76 can watch over Pharah."
"Then who can?" she desperately asked.
"Nobody..." Winston's eyes then lit up. "Unless—! Someone get Ray out of his bunk. We are going to the hangar!"
As they entered, their eyes rested on a beige tarp covering a small airship.
"I've been working on this in my spare time." Winston pulled off the cloak, and the agents marveled at the sight. "A compact airship, fully equipped with single target abilities, crowd searching tech, and," he configured a panel and smiled proudly as the whole vehicle vanished, "invisibility."
"And with this, we can watch over Pharah without anyone giving a second thought," Soldier 76 said. "If a person can't bring down 47, this jet sure as hell can."
Winston looked at the entrance, seeing Ray stumble in amazed. "It is to be flown by none other than our..." Winston's smile faltered, "second-best... pilot."
