Friends, foes, peasants and princes, we meet again. Welcome.

Allow me to begin this baleful dirge with an apology. It's been well over a year (15 moons to be exact) since the events of Deathsworn Vol I were dealt unto you, and I had initially planned to recite the tales of Bard and his Gallowmen with a great deal more alacrity.

Alas, the world and its ways conspired to keep me busy, and so it's proven that penning the next instalment to the scripture that won a Watty last year - to a level of quality I'm satisfied with - has been as laborious a task as carrying Tall Toyne with rocks in his pockets. For that, I am sorry.

On a brighter note, my hiatus is at its end and I can profess in earnest my belief that Deathsworn Volume II is every bit the book people want and expect it to be. Whether or not 'the people' agree with me is a matter best settled at the end of the journey you're about to undertake.

So, unsheathe your sword, grab your whetstone, bid farewell to your loved ones and pack provisions enough for a long voyage. I'll see you when we're through, whenever that may be.

Michael Panter.
