OVERDALE ~a past and current history~

Overdale, Maine was founded in 1940, built out of the ruins of the Great Depression. When people finally came out of hiding and decided to build a town. 

It started with one grocery shop, one bar, and one ice cream parlor.

The starting population was 43.

It now has three ice cream parlors, five bars, three grocery stores, one drug store, one movie theatre, four schools, one indoor pool, two hotels, one police station, a small waterpark, five neighborhoods, one science laboratory, one Lutheran church, and a drive-in theatre.

The current population (as of now), is 15,000.

It is a small town, at 357 acres which is 0.557813 square miles.

The current mayor of Overdale is Eleise Newman, age 52.

The current police chief is Baznix Mayer, age 37.

The current pastor is Alec Laundry, age 40.

It has one elementary school, one middle-high school, one freshman school, and one high school. 

Last Sunday, Born Again Lutheran Church in Overdale, ME had 96 attendees at the 9:45 AM service, 164 attendees at the 11 AM service, and 71 attendees at the 7:10 PM service. 

The last Overdale Labs Controlled Forest Fire Experimental Test (or OLCFFET) was 2 weeks ago. The results were negative. The next test will be in 1 week. 

The last severe storm warning in Overdale was 3 months ago. Nothing bad happened.

The last time someone died in Overdale was yesterday.
