Lance seemed distracted the entire fight. He almost got shot by a really strong blast, he dodged just in time.
Shiro: lance, get your head in the game. We need to focus we don't wanna die.
Lance: you're right. I'm sorry. Just got a stupid thing on my mind.
Shiro: whatever it is I'm sure it can wait.
The last ship remained. The cannon on top was charging up. It hit lance while the other paladins were busy fighting the smaller ships.
Keith: lance, come in are you ok, lance...lance....lance
All he heard was his name while he was blacking out. He was knocked against the wall from the blast. After the team defeated the last ship their lions grabbed Lance's and sped off towards the castle. After they landed in the hanger and got lance out of his lion they put him in a healing pod.
Keith lay watching him while the rest of the paladins were tending to the ship. Keith had to sit and watch lance twitch in his sleep. Lance was thrashing about and had a sad look on his face. All Keith could do was sit and watch which made him feel horrible.
After 3 hours lance finally emerged whimpering. He immediately raced over to Keith and held on for dear life.
Lance: dont let him hurt me. Not again. Never....again.
Keith: I wont. I wont I promise.
Lance: never again.
That was all that lance repeated for hours on end. No one could pry him off of Keith. After an entire day they finally got him to stop muttering and saying those two words.
Pidge: lance, what's wrong. Why are you reacting like this. I know that zarkon has done some bad things but.
Lance: it's not zarkon its... my old pack that's been on my mind.
Pidge: what did they do to you? Why are you acting this way over them?
Lance: well I didnt wanna say before, but. It all started when........

So this chapter is shorter than usual and that's bc I couldn't rly figure out how to beef it up and I didnt want to get into the next chapter stuff. Signing off -fell
