A Normal Day

Kirishima's POV

   It's a normal day at UA Highschool, Bakugou is bullying Deku and Mr. Aizawa is sleeping. I sigh as I think about how the afternoon sun hits Katsu-Bakugou perfectly. I've had a crush on him since day one, and we've been growing as friends since. It's unusually silent as I look up to see my classmates packing up their stuff. 'Bell must've rung while I was thinking' I thought to myself. I watch the rest of bakusquad walk up and put on my toothiest grin. "You ready for the test tomorrow Kirishima?" Denki asks as I falter my smile for a second. 'Test? Since when was there a test?' " Uh Yeah! Of Course!" I get a quizzical look from Bakugou but the others seem to have bought it. "Hey, Denki, Sero, and I are going to the arcade you guys wanna come?" Mina asks. " I gotta study for that test, better safe than sorry right?" I giggle but there's a hint of nervousness. After my parents saw my last report card it's been rough between us and I know I'm not doing any better. " Goin' go train or some shit see you losers later" Bakugou walks off as I'm left alone to walk home.(AN this is before they move into dorms)

   Did I mention it was rough between my parents and I? I guess that was an understatement as I can hear arguing from inside the house./They're talking about you it's just a matter of time till they-/ I push the voice away I'm not giving in."IF HE CAN'T GET HIS GRADES UP IM LEAVING!! I DON'T WANT A FAILURE OF A SON!!" My dad was yelling to my mom. "YOU THINK I WANT HIM EITHER?BUT WE SHOULD AT LEAST WAIT TO SEE THE-" They must have noticed I opened the door and stopped mid-sentence. "How much did you hear?" Straight to the point like always. " Look I know m-" "HOW MUCH DID YOU HEAR?" I trembled a bit, he was bad but never like this. As he walked closer I could see the anger in his eyes, just waiting to escape. *SLAP* I felt a sharp sting on my cheek as it was so fast and unexpected I didn't have time to harden. " Answer me directly I don't have time for your pathetic excuses" Usually mom steps in but... she left? Dad seemed to notice too and a smirk came on his face. " Now that the old bitch is gone I can finally teach you the lesson you need about failing in this family."
After the verbal and physical abuse I received I was tired and flopped on my bed. Everything hurt as my hardening failed halfway through his "lesson". I started to drift asleep as I thought about-the test!! I scramble to my bag and get my notes. My vision is a bit blurry but I study anyways.
