Bad Dream [Minsung]

1 - Summer

Jisung's POV

"Jisung!"

I heard. The voice was distant, but it was very familiar. I don't know why but I was tired, I was panting. Weird. The voice kept calling me, but it kept farther and farther—until I can't hear it anymore.

"This isn't a dream, boy"

No One's POV
Jisung woke up, panting, wondering just happened to him. 'A very weird dream' he told to himself. He checked his phone August 15, 2019 8:01. It's still their summer vacation (extended one actually).

"Jisung! Breakfast is ready! Come down here"

His mom shouted from downstairs. Shuffling his hair, he went to the bathroom and washed his face. 'Jisung!' He suddenly recalled the voice calling out to him. It was very familiar but he get chills whenever he recalls that voice.

"The heat must be getting to my head" he joked to himself and immediately went down to eat breakfast.

Jisung's POV
"I thought you were going out today with your friends?"

'Oh shit I forgot!' I thought to myself, while I choked on my bread. I really forgot about that trip, even though I was the one who suggested it. Now I remembered the reason why our group chat's very noisy very early in the morning. Curse this dream.

"Y-yeah I'll leave later. We'll meet up later at 10, same meeting place."

My mom suddenly chuckled. She seemed to notice that I almost forgot about the trip that I was very excited about. She really liked teasing me, but it was fine for me because I love her, my only family.

"Take care, baby Ji." She said in a concerned voice, and I noticed her worrying eyes. She must have remembered what happened in the past with my father and my little brother.

"Don't worry mom, I'll be careful, return here, and come back to give you lots lots of hugs!" I said proudly.

Thankfully, my mom cheered up and we continued eating. She is the only family I had, and seeing her being sad just breaks my heart. I want my mother to be happy.
