Dear Mrs. Sutherland
We hope that since you have moved within a 16.4 mile radius of our FINE school, Arbor High, you will considering enrolling your children (Sandi 9, Ben 12) in our fine school. There is no better school within a 16.4 mile radius. We promise.
As you expressed concern about certain rumors I will address them point by point and we hope you will be satisfied with the answers it is all simple really.
1. I am the teacher of Science, Miss Ovan, and I promise that the rumors of my death aren't true.
2. The whole thing with the class pet has been all over the papers but there is really nothing to it. It was a simple lizard that looked kind of funny. The children found it in the woods and brought it to the class because they were worried about its survival in the woods, which did not seem to be its native home. Their worries were not necessary but it was very kind they are really kind children.
3. People like to make much of the children that claimed they were ordered by the lizard to feed it at night but I'm sure you know youthful hghi spirits are all about that kind of thing. Children cannot be trusted and will lie even if they are kind. The children (Gerri 10 Martin 12) are very sorry they have lied and said they did not tell the truth so that is that.
4. The lizard was released into the woods because it got too big for the cage but its growth was quite normal. And it only smelled a little it was not as bad as reports make out, I personally think such people are unkind attacking the smell of a harmless creature that didn't smell that bad
5. As I have said before I am quite alive and fine the video tape of me with glassy eyes and mouth open shambling into building was merel because I did not have morning coffee and did have flu. I am quite better now thank you.
6. by the way I was out in the woods to find the lizard because I was Concerned about it, my video tape of me saying that I will kill it was a jok,e why would I want to do that?
7. The lizard is quite OK the feeding and the woods were good for it and we are all quite OK too, the children that the press is allways saying dissappeared were merely lying or they ran away like that one very bad girl who didn't like the lizard and said it smelled which it did not and told me and other teachers that it was growing strange things in the woods
Everyone is OK in our community and the woods are quite safe the mushrooms are beautiful and the lizards are quite friendly and if you see something like somenone making a funy face its only because they have the flu don't wory it's not serious and will be gone soon.
