Rin POV:

Another whole week went by before I saw Ash again. We met at the park and he walked me to his house. I met his mom first, she was very sweet and kind. "Hi Mis. Norton, my name is Rin and I'm a werewolf." I blushed slightly embarrassed. I always got nervous around New people. "It's nice to finally meet you Rin, and everyone just called me mamma Norton." she smiles warmly. I smile in return. "This one here can't stop talking about you" she smirks and nodded toward Ash. "Mom!" Ash yells blushing. Making both her and I laugh. I had a slight blush as well. We here a knock on the front door making us all stop. Ash gets up and gets the door, and comes back with two others. One was around my height and the other was very short. "This is Kori," pointing to the one my height, "and the small one is Mary." Ash introduces the others. "Hello." I say shyly.

They both give me warm smiles which make me feel more confident. "Don't worry" Ash says coming to stand next to me, "they don't bite. Well, you might want to watch the small one." We stand in silence for a few seconds. All three of them burst into laughter. "Don't worry we're just messing around." Kori laughs. I laughed lightly with them and started getting more comfortable surrounded by vampires. "So when do we get to see it?" The small one, Mary asks. "See what?" I questioned, confused. "Your wolf!?" She yells jumping up and down. I guess Ash was right about them wanting to see a werewolf.

Ash led us out back and everyone followed, even mamma Norton. I'll have to get use to calling her that. I walked to the center of the yard and they all lined up in front of me. "Step back a little just in case." I warned. They all took a big step back except for Ash who took a half step. He looked eager to see my wolf form, guess he didn't get a good look in the dim forest. I closed my eyes and concentrated hard on my other half. Slowly I felt myself shifting and my bones changing shape. I leaned forward onto all fours and changed completely, it was still slightly painful. I stretched and shook out my semi long fur. I finally opened my eyes to see the reactions of the others watching me. Mamma Norton looked proud, Kori and Mary were in awe, and Ash was smiling. Slowly they came up to me, I lowered myself to the ground to signal it was ok. It was kind of weird having multiple people petting my fur at ounce, actually at all. Usually I went out for runs when I phased and no one really touched me.

We stayed like that for a while. Ashes friends took turns riding on my back. After a while we got tired and all just laid in the grass. Ash finally came over from watching our little games and stroked my snout gaining my attention. I leaned my head into his hand as he pet my entire head. He scratched behind my ears and I made a loud purring sound I've never made before. "I thought you were a dog not a cat." He says with a chuckle. I give him a small glare and lick his entire hand, since I'm 4 times his size. He gave me a "how dare you" look. I smirked the best a wolf can and licked his face. I laughed so hard I rolled onto my back. He wiped his face and crossed his arms pouting. Was he seriously pouting? I rolled back over and walked up to him, I lowered my head in a apology. He looked at me out of the corner of his eye, "I can't stay mad at you." He smiled and hugged me. Well my big wolf head. At the sudden contact it felt like there were sparks between us. The pull I felt before was much stronger in my wolf form. He must of felt it to because be moved back slightly and looked at me questionably.

I decided to phase back then. I got up and brushed myself off then looked at Ash. "You felt that too right? The spark and the pull? It's not just me right?" I asked quite fast. "Ya... I felt it too. What does it mean?" He waited for me to answer as I pondered. What could it mean? I searched and searched inside my head of where I heard this before. There was a conversation a while back that my parents told my older brother and I. What was it!?... Then it snapped. No. Could it be. With a vampire? I never thought about that possibility.

Mate.

I stood there frozen in place until I heard someone saying my name. "Earth to Rin? Hello!?" Ash was yelling at me. I came out of my daze. "Mate." Was all I could say, in a whisper still not believing it myself. I feel so happy but at the same time scared. I have learned that there are good vampires but what about my family? What will they think? "What?" Ash asks. "Mate." I say again, more stern. "That's the only possibility I can think of." Ash stands in silence for a moment thinking it over. In those few moments , I start to freak out. What if he rejects me!? Ash raises his right hand slowly toward me. "May I?" He asks in a soft voice. It takes me a second to realize what he wants. I raise my left hand to meet his, our finger tips touch. I feel the sparks between us and the pull gets stronger. We lace our fingers together and he pulls me into a hug.

I felt so complete knowing I wasn't being rejected and not caring about anything else. Who cares what my family thinks, I found my other half. My soulmate. This is the happiest moment of my life, I hugged Ash tighter. I'm not sure how long we stood there but it felt like hours when we finally parted. "So what does this mean? I only know a little bit about how the whole mate thing works." He says as we part. " Don't worry I'll explain everything, how much do you know?" I ask a little to exited. I dragged him into the house completely forgetting about the other two who were still asleep on the ground.
