"Morning." Nick says to his father blankly
"Morning, Son! I made pancakes for breakfast! Your favourite!" A tall figure with green eyes and brown hair says happily waiting for Nick's reaction
"Thanks, dad" Nick says giving his father the 'Stop it already' look
"Nicholas. " He says approaching him
"What's wrong?" He says looking worried
"What's wrong? WHAT'S WRONG???? OH YEAH NOTHING DAD, THANKS" Nick says with a sarcastic tone in his voice
"Please I'm trying to help you, why are you always making a fuss when I try to talk to you????"
"BECAUSE YOU WOULDN'T GET IT!"
Nick says while making his way to his room slamming his door behind him

Nick goes down stairs looking for his dad after he got ready for school
"Dad?"
"Hey." Mr. Crystal says
"I'm sorry I yelled at you, I didn't mean to i--- "
"---i know you didn't mean it but I deserved it, I'm not a great father after all. "
"Dad don't say that!" Nick says hissing at his father.
"Just know I'm here for you whenever you need me, okay? " He says gently, ruffling through Nick's hair
"Thanks, Dad"
"No problem, Sweetheart, Now let's get you to school, shall we? "
"Yes, Dad" Nick says blankly
"Come on! Lose the attitude! "

Mr. Crystal leaves Nick at the school entrance and waves him goodbye
"Bye dad. "
"Bye-bye!"
Nick's Pov
I get out of the car, heading straight inside the school until someone called up from behind,
"Друг!" *meaning Friend in Russian*
"Wait for me!" The tall girl running up to me in a rush, Red hair up in a ponytail, Black leggings and a grey hoodie, That's Scarlett, my best friend since elementary, the only person I got, She's Russian and her accent is adorable.
" Друг!" She hugs me immediately the moment she sees me
"Scarlett!" I say smiling at her returning her hug
"It's been long time!" She says happily
"I know! Though midterms were hell glad they were over" I says whiling walking inside with Scarlett
"Really? I do not think that way, they were easy for me" Scarlett says while having a confused face on her
"That's because you're smart, Scar and I'm not" I say mocking myself
"No Друг! You is very smart! Do not belittle yourself!"
"Thanks, Scar!"
"No problem, Друг"
We part our ways to our classrooms
I have Science today with Mr. Popular boy that everyone loves, Bryan.
I enter my classroom to see Bryan and a very somewhat pushy girl, I think she's an upperclassman? Not sure but she isn't in this class, Bryan looks hella annoyed, Serves him right that Mr perfection!
I turn to my seat in the back and sit down,
I see that Mutt called Matt taking glances at me and laughing with his friends, definitely making fun of me.
Great.
What an amazing start to my day!
