Chapter Seven- It wouldnt be right

*Oliver Wood *

I got changed before our league game as I pulled on my Puddlemere United kit, I thought back to my days at Hogwarts. Katie Bell flashed into my head. I adjusted my keeper’s helmet and forced myself to remember that feeling this way about her wasn’t right, it just wouldn’t be right.

I walked out of the tunnel just like every other important match, I didn’t feel nervous I always enjoyed the buzz that playing Quidditch gave me. But something was different today, instead of focussing on the game plan we had just discussed I kept thinking of things well feelings that I had tried to force out of my head. Not right I muttered as I flew into position in front of the rings.

Not right I muttered as Chudley Cannons chaser headed towards, me, I ducked... lucky save. Not Right wait... no this definitely wasn’t right, Katie Bell was flying towards me just like she did all those years in training sessions, and I shook my head. Snap out of it Oliver I moaned. The mass of brown hair kept coming towards me with the piercing chocolate eyes of Katie Bell. “ Kates?” I muttered “Well try and make an attempt to block Wood” the voice yelled at me from the memory that replayed in my head. Wait... this wasn’t happening it’s just a memory... I felt my attention slip and along with it my balance and grip on my broom. My opponent laughed and darted past me to score, my hand lost its grip and I fell.

I woke up next in the hospital surrounded by the very angry faces of my fellow team mates. “What the hell were you thinking Wood” Matt the seeker yelled at me “I...? I wasn’t sorry” I croaked.

“Reckon he’s lost it, keeps muttering Kates, who is kates!” Peter the beater moaned. I groaned as I struggled against my bruises and aching muscles, I definitely have broken something I shuddered. I tried to sleep that night and focus on getting better for the next match but I couldn’t escape the girl with the mass of brown hair and chocolate brown eyes.
