Do you guys  think you can tell your folks  you are camping out at my house tonight? Maybe Chris said but my dad has kinda been on the mean streak here lately, you know he's been drinking a lot . When chris said that I felt bad for him but in my mind i was starting to like him but i knew he probably didn't feel the same . Yeah I said I probably can getting out of my thoughts  yeah same Gordie  and Teddy said so come on vern tell us ! Then as he started  to talk  we started to laugh  then all of a sudden  he said you guys  wanna go see a dead body ? When he said that we all stopped what we were doing  and listened to him . We  all had follow the Ray Bowers story closely he was a kid our age and even tho I just moved  here I have heard about it. Well you know I was under the porch digging ya know .  From what Chris had told me vern had buried a jar of pennies  under his house  and his ma was cleaning his room and thew the map away and he had been digging for days didn't know weather to laugh or cry . Well I heard Billy  and Charlie talking  and they had seen Ray Bowers  the kid went out walking one day to pick blueberries  and all of a sudden  a train hit him and he hasn't been found since. Men if they would have seen you man they  would have killed  you! Chris said. Hey I bet ya if we find him we will get our picture's in the paper ya ya teddy said you up for it verno! Yeah I am what about you Skyler? Yeah I am . So we leave tomorrow morning? Yep . It was the next day  and I got ready I brought a sleeping bag and my canteen and I walked out the door . I seen Chris and I ran up to him and hugged him well hi he said some one is excited  yeah I said  laughing  we started walking  and we seen Gordie  hey man Chris said hey Gordie said . Yall wanna see something ? Sure we both said at the same time. we ran near a dumpster  and he pulled out a gun . Holy  jesus Gordie said. Were did you get dad I said got it from my old man took it out of his room, you got shells for it Gordie said ? Yeah I took it from my old man he well think  he shoot them up when he was drunk. Is it loaded Gordie ask. Na who do you think I am I gave chris a smile  and I knew he was lying . Gordie pulled the trigger  then Boom! A load shoot came we ran before the lady  came out. Oh shit I said while I was laughing  Chris you should have seen Gordies  face . You knew it was loaded didn't you ! No man I didn't swear   Gordie said swear Chris said.
