9. i won't be afraid

The whole way back to our town everyone was quiet in fact they were still in shocked  with the body we decided it would be best to make a anonymous  call instead.  When we got back to the town it seem smaller then usual but i guess that's because we have been gone for two days we all came up to a conner and stopped in the side walk. Will guys i guess i better get home vern said bye you guys  we watched him walk away and he stopped halfway. Hey a penny he said. We all laughed and that was the last of him. Then Teddy  will i guess i better get back home before my mom puts me on the ten most unwanted list . Chirs he said no hard feelings. No way man he said . Skyler  stay cool . No worries Teddy i said laughing see you in school. Then it was me Chris i said i am gonna miss you but i will see you in school tomorrow. And Gordie keep up the good work on writing i love your stories  and i hugged  them both and walked off.

me and Chris walked too the tree house. I am never going to get out of this town am i Gordie? You can do whatever you want man i said. Yeah that will be the day. Skin it he said so i did . He walked of.

Only Gordie is the main character here.

I sat at my computer  and just started thinking  i heard vern got married and had kids  and Teddy  had been in jail a couple of times and Chris... joined the college with me him and Skyler  had broken up but they eventually  got back together  but a few days  after that he walked in a restaurant and there was a fight  like Chris he tried to make piece  and got stabbed in the throat  and died instantly. And i did the same thing to Skyler  like she did me when we were little and i started to cry. "I never had friends like the ones i did when i was 12" jesus does anyone ? I stopped typing and i picked up the picture of all of us together it seems like yesterday we were all together.

I added this to the last part of this story because of the title name of this chapter  i figured this would be a good title name because  of how they are saying there goodbyes to each other and then two years later and Gordie's looking back on those days
