Sara was sore. She was covered in blood and sweat, which wasn't uncommon in her work as a time travelling superhero. Her lungs were still recovering from the hours she spent in a corset while on a mission in Victorian England. She wandered up the stairs to her and Ava's DC home.
"Hey babe" Ava said as Sara walked in. She was sat on the sofa in their living room with papers scattered everywhere. Sara slid a few papers aside as she down next to her. "I know what you did today was tough but once again you saved history." Ava said putting her hand on Sara's leg. The aberration Sara had to fix was the arrest of Jack the Ripper. Sara had to help one of the most notorious serial killers evade justice and in the process she nearly became a victim. It turns out the reason Jack the Ripper stopped killing and disappeared was because he was killed by Sara Lance.
Sara moved papers off of Ava's lap to make it more comfortable for her head. As she laid with her head in Ava's lap, Ava ran her hands through Sara's golden hair. "I hope I did the right thing." Sara said with her hand gripping Ava's leg.
"You did babe." Ava said comforting. "The right thing is never easy."
"I thought I've changed but I'm still a killer." Sara said.
"You killed a monster because you had to."
"But I'm the real monster." Sara said. "I've killed more people than Jack the Ripper. I've hurt more people. I've done a lot of terrible things, things that there is no forgiveness for. Why are you even with me?"
"I'm with you because I love you."
