November

"So what are you gonna sing to?" Yumi munched on her Twisties while watching the 649163810th episode of Going Seventeen.

We're in our living room, waiting for Dad to come back.

"I'm not sure yet.." I starred at my so-called scholarship offer notice, half crumpled.

"What do you mean? You have.. uhh.. 9 days for the second audition." She raised her voice.

"I know! I'll think about it later" I said.

"This isn't the time for your 'due tomorrow do tomorrow' inspirational quote, Amy. There's 49 more girls who really put their effort on this. You have to take this seriously!" she half-shouted at me.

I pouted. God damn I am really scared. Am I doing the right thing? What if dad found out? Lord please help me now!!

Few minutes later we heard dad's car pulling out in the garage. He's here! Argh I need to make this right.

"An... Action!" Yumi whispered.

The door screeched open and dad came in.

"Oh hey! What are you girls doing this late?" dad greeted us.

"Dad It's 10pm." Yumi said.

Dad caressed our heads from the back and walked towards the stairs. Yumi elbowed me because I didn't say anything.

"Dad?" I voiced out.

"Yes?" he stopped walking and turned back.

"Uhh.. I got a scholarship offer to Ewha University in Korea. They offered me to study Language there for 2 years degree." I finally professed and gave the letter to dad.

"REALLY?" dad smiled to his ears and took the letter from me.

I could only smile.

Dad read everything with anticipation and hugged me real tight.

"I'm so proud of you! When are you going?" dad asked.

"The day after tomorrow, after I get everything done here."

"So fast? How about your college? Did you manage everything already?" he asked again.

"Yes. Yes don't worry a single thing. I've got everything covered. I just need to manage my budgets and then everything's done." I assured him.

"Look at how grown up my first daughter is. I'll transfer you your allowance every month okay? Just tell me if you need more." he said with a fatherly smile, and greeted us goodnight as he went to his room.

Yumi showed me her thumbs up and a big big smile as it was a success. I responded with a guilty smile.

The next day, Cherry, Yumi and I went for shopping. My final shopping before my flight tomorrow. I bought everything in my checklist of whatever I'll need there in Seoul.

I rented a guesthouse in Itaewon just for KRW300,000 per month, with a housemate. It have 2 bedrooms, 2 single beds, 1 toilet, drawers, 2 desks, 1 big closet, laundry machine, fridge, microwave, and the most important thing is Wi-Fi.
