Calvin and Hobbes: Off to College

Chapter #1: Arrival on Campus

Calvin's House, 1991 Watterson Drive

 

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! rang the alarm clock. A yellow-haired teen proceeded to turn it off, falling off his bed whilst. His name is Calvin, and today is his first day of college. "Gah! Stupid alarm clock always gets the best of me." Calvin groaned as he returned to his feet. His room was packed up with boxes and suitcases galore. Mom would've said "Clean your room" if I didn't have this stuff, thought Calvin to himself. "CALVIN! You're going to miss the college bus!" shouted his mom from downstairs. "C'mon Hobbes, help me with this stuff." Calvin motioned to his friend. Hobbes was not a human, but a stuffed tiger Calvin had recieved one year for Christmas. "Alright, but do I get to carry the box with your childhood stuff in it?" Hobbes asked. "Fine, just grab those three from the corner as well." Calvin moaned, dragging about 40 boxes and suitcases behind him.  The duo headed downstairs, and the bus had arrived. Calvin's parents watched the bus leave, and this left Calvin with Hobbes, his thoughts, and everyone on the bus. 

Halfway through the ride, another student got on, and who should it be but Moe, Calvin's former bully. "Hey Twinkie! Haven't seen you in years." Moe laughed. "Those years were good years without you. Trust me, by the end of this semester you'll be eating my dust." Calvin groaned. "Over my dead body, Twinkie."  Moe mumbled as he sat down. Calvin never liked Moe. He was now a tall hunk of brutal pain and still a bully. 

Pinesaps College

 

The students disembarked from the bus, heading towards the dorm number acceptation area. Calvin grabbed his dorm number, and saw it was 209. "So, who do you think your roommate will be?" Hobbes asked. "Hopefully not Susie......" Calvin groaned. The two dragged their things and went to the dorm room. He opened the door and there was a black haired white kid sitting on the left bed. "Hello. My name's Calvin, and this is my best friend and pet Hobbes." Calvin told his roommate. "Oh, hello. I'm Taylor." introduced the roommate. The two (and Hobbes) chatted for a bit before hearing a loud noise coming from next dorm. "Aw, what now? A dance party at 2:31 in the afternoon?!?" Taylor groaned.  They walked to the next dorm and found Moe and his two roommates partying with Party Rock Anthem from the stereo on super loud. "WOOOT! SWEET PARTY IN THE PM!!!" Moe shouted from atop his bed. "Hey Nutter Butter! Enjoying the loudest party evah?" Moe asked Calvin. "No, Moe. I thought the teachers would bust you for this." Calvin groaned. "Well, they haven't yet, snicker-doodle!" Moe laughed. Taylor and Calvin walked out of the dorm slowly.

The roommates sat on their beds staring at the ceiling. Neither one of them spoke, but Calvin and Taylor were both thinking this;It's gonna be one heck of a year.
