Looney Hall, Pinesaps College

8:35 AM

"And that, class, is how to properly do square roots." Mr. Sanstop concluded. His class looked bored; some had fallen asleep during his seminar. Calvin's head was just resting on his hand as the bell that scheduled the end of the class rang. Several students awoke and left the seminar. "Remember, your homework assignment is numbers 1-18 on pages 142 and 151!" shouted Mr. Sanstop as everyone left. Calvin and Taylor left the room as new students came in; they looked very drowsy, even beating the previous sleeping person count. "Can you believe that Sanstop gave us 36 questions for homework? We did less work then this in high school!" Calvin complained. "Oh I wouldn't worry too much about it." Taylor said.

"Wouldn't worry too much?!?" the yellow-haired teen groaned.

"Yeah. I went to a private school and I once got 132 questions for my math homework."

Calvin was silent for a second and then proceeded onward to his Social Studies class at Watterson Hall, the same place where he had fought Moe several days before. Hobbes was curled up inside Calvin's bag as they passed by Susie again. "Oh, hey Calvin!" the brown haired girl said. "Hey Susie. Haven't seen you since Geometry class last year." Calvin said nervously, "What's up?" "Oh, not much. I've been trying to get into Pinesaps for a few yea-hey, are you okay? You look a little stressed." "It's nothing, really." Calvin said before he zipped towards Watterson Hall. His chance encounter with Susie could've ended in one of their snowball fights, but thank goodness it was spring. The entirety of Social Studies was about the Declaration of Independence and thankfully not boring. It was now about 11:21 AM and Calvin was heading back to his dorm to play a game of Ossan Racing 8 with an old classmate named Ronald. Ronald hadn't been much of a friend to Calvin in 1st grade, but they got along soon after that, even hosting their own YouTube show "Social Mediafications" which ran for 3 seasons on Calvin's channel.

By the time Calvin had made it back to the dorm, Taylor was already hard at work on Mr. Sanstop's assignment. "Hey Taylor! You almost done with your homework?" the yellow-haired teen asked. "This is pretty easy stuff. Hey, did you get the assignment from Mrs. Skinnelli?" Taylor replied. Calvin dropped an agenda book onto the desk and flipped to the date - August 20th. The assignment under Social Studies said "Write draft of 5-page essay on the Declaration of Inpendence due next week"; Calvin groaned. Just then, the door opened and in came Ronald with a Scanrendo FameBox controller and the game. The two sat down to play it for awhile and talked about how their schoolwork was going among other things; Calvin won after a race on Shroom Docks in the Petal Cup. "Do you think maybe, y'know, you and Susie should become boyfriend and girlfriend together?" Ronald asked. "You've seem to like her more and more as this year's gone on." Calvin spat out his milk, which Hobbes caught in a garbage bag. "What? How the heck did you find out?" Calvin replied, wiping the milk off his face. "Internet." Ronald said as he held up his iPhone with a Bleater post from Moe that read @_Marlack is in love with @DerkinGirl! What could be weirder then that? #weird relationships #burrnnnnn!; Taylor snickered a little. Great, Moe's embarassed me again Calvin thought as he ushered his old classmate (with his FameBox controller) out of the dorm room. The yellow-haired teen was too embarrassed to talk to anyone right now, even Hobbes and Taylor.

"Dude....this is big!" Taylor said excitedly, trying to hold down his laughter. "You and Susie are in a relationship! Susie and Calvin, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes..." "Look, we are not in any form of a relationship. Susie's just a nice girl, okay?!" an angry Calvin replied. "Lunch is gonna start soon, so I'll see ya later. C'mon Hobbes."

12:30 PM

Calvin grumpily sat down at a lunch table with a cheeseburger and some broccoli on the side, shooting a mean glare at Moe. "Well, do you feel embarrassed now, ding dong? Are you gonna cwy for your mommy?" Moe laughed as rudely as he could. Johnny and Silas laughed even harder than their "leader". Calvin got up and started shouting at Moe. "You've embarrassed me quite enough these past few days, Moe, and you've gotten on my last nerve! I thought you had changed, Moe. It's been 14 or so years since we were in 1st grade, but you have been ticking me off every year of my life! Don't you see that I'm tired of all the wedgies, wet willies, swirlies, and every other prank you've pulled on me?!" Moe and his lackeys scattered as Calvin pulled a boxing glove out of his backpack. Calvin sat back down and groaned, and Hobbes crawled out of the backpack. "Calvin, dude, you need to just calm down. Call your parents; they'll cheer you up." The stuffed tiger was right for once; his parents could brighten his mood. Calvin hung his bag on the back of the chair and headed for the bathroom. He went into a stall and pulled his phone out. The yellow-haired teen used the QuickDial app on his phone to call his parents. His mom picked up and said "Hello?"

"Hey, Mom."

"Hi Calvin! How's college?"

"It's okay..."

"Is something wrong, honey?"

*sigh* "Moe embarrassed me again."

"Oh, okay. Just shrug it off."

"Yeah. Could you say 'hi' to Dad for me?"

"Sure. Talk to you later, honey."

Calvin hung up the phone and left the restroom. As he walked out, Susie was passing by. They collided at the same time and....kissed. "DAAAAAANNNNNGGGG!" Taylor and Hobbes said as they saw the two former enemies kiss. Moe's jaw dropped straight through the floor as this was happening.

Calvin's in love.
