''Damn Saber! Your opponent is strong, don't give up!''

The messy hair blonde Master sure had some guts to be so noisy around us, even if we were supposed to be contraries I approached her as I saw the clash between sword user servants.

First, my servant used both her sheath and her own katana to fight. Stomping on the ground, virtual sand wildly shaking even if it was invisible on the floor, we could feel it as we touched it with our feet.

Unsheathing techniques known as batoujutsu, she sure was knowleadgeable about all of these too. Quick and in succession, each time she slashed through the opposing Saber, said armored girl swinged her own sword from side to side, up and down, adopting several positions to defend herself. Sword near her neck, sword near her thighs, she stopped all of my servants strikes one by one.

''Your servant sure is tough, and here I thought mine was quite overwhelming as well.'' I said to the girl, with both my arms crossed and witnessing our servant's fight with emotion.

''Hey dude, why the heck did ya come here?'' said, as she bent forward looking directly to me with an annoyed expression.

''Alfred. Alfred Birdwhistle.'' I said without any expectation on how she should react, I just felt like telling her my name.

A pout from her was followed, sure she could be cute sometimes as well. This Master wasn't a bad person, I could tell.

''I was just wondering how should I address you, so I said my name first in order to know yours. You at least know some manners right young lady?''.

Heh, I did sound like an old man sometimes for real. I guess that's because...

''Laeticia.''

Oh, she said it.

''I don't care about all that stuff 'kay? N-not like I forgot or somethin'!'' said in response, seeming a bit flustered. She clearly seemed to have not remembered is courtesy to exchange names in this kind of situations, plus it was just a mock battle after all.

I then, chuckled and looked at her direction, still noticing the battle we had in front of us through my ears. ''Take it easy, we don't know much about this War right? This is probably just in order for whoever is making us fight to know our capabilities at first instance, right?''

''Well you are kinda right I guess.'' said the girl, now crossing her arms just like I did. Then, she looked back at me once more, now with a grin. ''Sorry for that old man. You aren't a bad person after all ya know?''

Her honest and radiant smile showed no evil or bad intention at all, she was just another participant of this War like me.

''So, yeah, name's Laeticia and I'm a Spiritron Hacker. I was sent to fight in this so-called War but dunno that much about it so don't bother on asking me.'' said as she waves her arm, wanting me to have that point clear. She sure had some insight while talking to people, her airhead attitude didn't play her good still.

''Mhmm, I see.'' I positioned my right fist just below my chin, thinking about the terms she just mentioned. Spiritron Hacker must be how magus were called, so I was supposed to be one as well? I had many questions to ask... but I guess it wasn't the best of timings right now.

However, I could at least ask something.

''This might be an odd question, but what happened to Earth?''

''Hah? It's of course still on, like, I am logged in here through there.'' said as if that was the most normal thing to say. On? What did she meant by on?

''Why would you ask that man? Arentcha just like everyone else?'' said while tilting her head.

I don't know if it should be safe to tell her last thing I remember about myself was, well, dying.
