Alice was in her small house where she lives with her sister. Alice was humming to herself as she read one of her favorite picture books, continuing to find no enjoyment in reading books with no pictures.

"Alice, dear."

The young girl was too lost in her book and imagination too hear her sister call her. After the third time of calling her younger sisters name, her sister plopped Alice's beloved cat, Dinah, in front of her book. Alice flinched back and looked up at her, meeting her sisters firm frown with a slight giggle and a sympathetic smile.

"Oh...did you call me?"

Dinah meowed in reply, as if answering her.

"I did." Her sister sighed, accepting what has happened time after time "You wanted to look through the attic, to see all the things before I threw them away, or have you changed your mined?"

"No, no..." Alice admitted sadly "I'm coming."

The older sister sighed "Then hurry up..."

The two made their way to the attic, many boxes sprawled across the floor, many tall items covered in sheets to protect it from dust.

Alice furrowed her brows, her nose itching just at the sight at so much dust. But soon the two started cleaning, searching through the things that have not been touched for years. There were multiple things, but they were so out of date Alice only glanced at them. She began to pull off sheets, only to show a steel flamingo. She could not help but glare at the figure, reminding her of her adventures to another land. But Alice signed, trying to pretend that had never happened, for trying to convince her sister that it all had happened had infuriating. She decided to act as if her adventures in wonderland were made of dreams, until one day she would actually believe it to be fact. But for now, she pursed her lips and continued to search through the old antiques. She had never seen majority of these items, finding them to be out of style and dull. She had almost given up hope to find something to spark her imagination.

With another pull of a sheet, Alice discovered a tall mirror. Her jaw slacked, seeing the fine detailed in the frame of the mirror. She looked at herself in it, smiling sweetly as she grew to like the mirror more and more.

"Oh sister! I want this!"

The older sister slowly looked up and eyes widen "Oh? I don't seem to remember that..." her eye brows furrowed, trying to remember where ever the mirror came from.

"Oh can I have it please! It looks so lovely."

"I guess.. But you must be careful to not break it."

Alice nodded, her grin wide.

After a while, Alice and her sister moved it to her room. She quickly polished it and cleaned the reflection, the brown wood being lighter than in comparison to the dark attic.

Alice looked over herself in the mirror, twirling in her favorite blue dress while giggling "Oh so lovely~" As she looked at herself once more, ensuring everything of her outfit was spot on, she saw a shimmer. A bright yellow shimmer that appeared beside her reflection. She quickly turned around and saw nothing there. Alice eyed her room suspiciously, trying to figure out what in the world that could have been. But soon, she simply ignored it, calling it a trick her own eyes were playing on her. She finally plopped on her bed, hiding her face in the pillow as she began to let her mind wander.
