Chapter 5: Training

Shortly after Elvi lessson, I wandered around the temple grounds. It was a lot of new information for more to take in. First I'm told that I'm dead, then given the option to go to Hell or be reborn. Now I am here in this new world that I must save. 'Me? Save an entire world? Heh, this is going to be one hell of an adventure.' I thought to myself. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice that I had left the temple and was now outside in a forest area filled with rich vibrant red leaved trees. I noticed that I'm standing on a paved cobblestone walkway so I must be heading somewhere. I continued to walk instead of turning back. I eventually came to an opening and sighed softly, 'Its so peaceful here' I thought to myself. The wind blowed gently, brushing against my face. I heard the sound of breaking twigs and branches. What's that? Something just moved and I don't think it's Elvi coming to get me. I look around and suddenly this creature comes at me. It looks like a massive cross between a lion, goat and a snake, with the head and front legs of a lion, the midsection and the head of a goat and the upper body and head of a snake for a tail. Somehow I reacted and was able to block it. 'It's about time I get to see what this body can do.' I thought with a confidant smirk. The beast lunges at me and I quickly roll out of the way, bringing my fist down on it's temple. With a sickening crunch and a loud roar of pain, the chimera collapses dead, blood leaking from the nostrils, ears and eyes of the snake, lion and goat heads. I stare at my hand in shock and awe, "Holy crap...." I muttered to myself. I stood there, in some kind of trance looking at the Chimera. "I just killed a damn massive Chimera....with a single blow." It slowly sinks into my head what just happened. A weird looking smile slowly grew on my face, spreading from cheek to cheek. "I just killed a Chimera! With a single punch!!" I hollered loudly. Unfortunately I was busy too celebrating to notice that suddenly the direction of the wind changed. It began to howl and shake the red leaves violently. "What the hell?" I felt an omninous, dark and evil presence. 'I should probably get the Hell out of here.' I thought to myself. "Raaaaaaaaaawwwrrrrr!!!!!" My eyes widened and all the hairs on my body stood up. Before I could react, a creature 10 times the size of the Chimera appears. It had shaggy black fur, stood on two legs, had three eyes, a pair boar tusks growing from its mouth and a pig-like nose. It carried a massive club which it swung at me. If it wasnt for my speed, I'd have benn flattened into paste! "Where the hell did this guy come from?!!" I backflip to a safe distance from this beast. I didn't intend on it. My body just moved on its own. Now I felt this sensation coarsing throughout my entire body, adrenaline coursing through my like lighning. My senses sharpened an my heart beat a mile a second. "Raaaaaaaaaaaawwwwrrrr!!!!" The beast roared. "Alright! Let's see what else God blessed me with!!" I decided to see if I can defeat this giant douche the same way I did the Chimera. I rushed towards it lile a cannonball shot out of a cannon and punched it in it's temple. Nothing happened! The beast swat me away like I was a pest. The hit stunned me for a moment before I quickly recovered. However, I wasn't able to plan my next move because the damn thing had rushed up to me before I knew it. WHAM!! It swated me away again, drawing blood. But I recovered quicker this time and counter attacked despite the blood dripping from a cut on my forehead. I aimed for a weak spot, its giant eyes eyes. I gave it a swift kick to its eyes, taking out one by putting a gaping scratch on its socket. The beast stumble back, holding its eyes and screaming in agony. "Now we're even you asshe!!!", I shouted out. The blood from its eye drips down its face, covering its hands, like the blood from my wound is dripping covering my eyes. I took this moment to wipe the blood from my sight and look around my surroundings. This battle has taken me away from the orginal battlefield. It seemed I was even deeper in the forest now. The leaves are blood red now and the wind is heavy. "Oh fuck, I can see the path anymore." I grumbled in annoyance. Suddenly I get a strong sensation. Something is pulling me towards it, I try to go against it but I couldn't control myself. "Not now! I have a monster to kill!!" I heard the beast wailing in rage at it searched for me. "I have to end this now!!", I yelled before a path made of mana appears in front of me. I grinned widely, "Alright, I see now. This is a 'blessing' that I was talking about earlier." I stopped fighting the pulling force and allow it to lead me down the path. At the end of the path, I saw a shrine. On it sat a pitch black sword covered in mystic dark purple runes. Free of the pulling force, I instinctly entered the shrine and walked to the center. I heard the beast coming towards me now and judging from its wails and shreaks, it sounded really pissed. Then I felt something in my hand. I look down to see a sword being held by my hand and saw the sword that was sitting on the pedistal moments before.

I don't have time to think or be in awe. The damn beast is here so I don't think. I act with the sword in my hand. I rush out and strike the beast in its chest, managing to stab its heart. SLASH! SLASH!! BOOM!!! "Jessica 2,douche 0" I said as I struck a badass pose. I glance fown at the sword studying its opaque yet glossy black blade engraved with dark blue runed that practically radiated mana. I then heard a boice in my head, "Well its about damn time someone came and got me! Where the fuck where ya, dumbass!?" An angry feminine voice shouted at me in my mind. I flinched and dropped the sword and the voice yelped in pain, "You fucking bitch! Pick me back up or I'll burn ya too a crisp!" I gingerly picked up the sword, "Um...Im sorry Ms. Sword. I-I didnt mean to drop you! You just startled me..." I explained nervously. The voice huffed in irritation. "First of all, its not the sword talking to you, you fool! Im inside the sword. Myvname is Bahamut, just focus your mind and picture me in front of you, I'll be able to manifest my body so you can see and talk to me." I closed my eyes and clared my mind. After a few seconds, her voice spoke again and it sounded like it was right in front of me, "Open your eyes." She comanded. I slowly opened my eyes and saw a young woman wearing dark purple armor with long whitish purple hair, deathly pale skin marked with dark purple markings, violet eyes with vertical slit pupils like a serpent and long black horns the curved downwards from the back of her head. A black and violet scaled tail protruded from her tailbone.

"Your Bahamut?" I asked in disbelief. The woman nodded. "Indeed I am mortal, I am-" She paused abruptly as she sniffed the air softly and arched an eyebrow. "Interesting. You aren't from this world. Tell me human, who are you?" I flinched softly, not expecting her to know I wasn't from here. This caused Bahamut to smirk softly, apparently amused by my shock. She laughed mischievously, her eyes glowing an ominous dark purple.
