"Bardolf!" Bellowed Alaric. "Bardolf! Get out here and fight like a man!"

The soft crunch of boot on gravel sounded from behind him. Turning quickly, Alaric watched as a lean form stepped out from a darkened doorway.

"Is that a challenge, pup?" Scoffed Bardolf as he slowly stalked forward from the shadows. "I was besting Alphas while you were still in diapers."

"That ends now." Snarled Alaric, "Best say your prayers, rouge, because tonight you breath your last. I'll make certain of that."

"No doubt you will" the older man laughed before his scathing reply.

From atop the ridge of a nearby roof Kay paused with baited breath to view the scene unfold. The tension in the air was palpable as the two men below stared each other down for what felt like an eon before lunging into action. Quick as a flash the two sprang towards each other, fists cocked and ready!

Pew! Pew! Just as the two men were about to exchange blows a barrage of bullets pelted around them. Narrowly missing both men and drawing their attention.

"Drones! Take cover!" Called Kay, wide eyed, as she spotted the source of their newest threat. Sliding down the side of the roof, she dropped quickly to the ground. Her eyes scanning swiftly across the ever darkening sky.

Glass shattered loudly as Bardolf burst through a window into the nearest building to get out of the open, Alaric hot on his heels! But the firing did not cease. Bullets wizzed by the pair, dangerously close, shooting in through every window they passed as Alaric continued to give chase. "Take out those drones!" Alaric linked his snipers. Chase had been right, other hunters had found a way to get in on the action.

An electric hum coursed through Alaric as he shifted into his wolf form mid-run. Ahead of him, Bardolf was quick to follow suit. Their powerful paws pounded the ground as they weaved through rooms, dodging both furniture and the incoming bullets. Lunging, skidding, biting, several times Alaric nearly had his target but each time he somehow evaded him right at the last. Running into the kitchen, Bardolf bounded up onto the countertop and launched himself through the window and into the window of the house next door, Alaric still giving chase. A clipped, involuntary yelp escaped Alaric as he landed wrong on the broken window glass of the second home. But he kept on going.

Outside, Kay whipped the wind, sending drones hurtling! Some crashing into each other, others smashing into buildings. As Silver Fang's gunmen shifted their sights to the drones, Kay was able to direct some of her attention back to following Alaric with the help of the mate bond.

All of the sudden, out of nowhere, a massive gray wolf leapt teeth first at Kay! Falling hard to the ground beneath the heavy form she only narrowly avoided his bone breaking jaws as she thrust her foot up under him and rolled backwards, sending him flying off of her. Spinning to face her opponent she snarled in recognition. Reflexively finding her sheaths, she gripped the handles of her knives. Snarling, snapping, and foaming at the mouth the great gray wolf lunged for her again! Something snapped inside of her then. Fear was replaced by rage. Side stepping, Kay turned to face her attacker, drawing her knives and simultaneously leaving two long gashes on his soft underside as he went by. She felt no pity for this man. Not one shred of remorse. She had known him, trusted him, even respected him. Yet what had he done? He'd betrayed his pack and robbed her of years with her brother. Because of this man she had thought she'd lost Cylas for good. He was not fit for the title of Beta. And if it was a fight to the death he wanted now, well, she'd gladly oblige.

Cautiously he circled her. Fury shone in his eyes but she stood deathly calm and it was slightly unsettling. Feinting left then darting right he snapped at the human! Keeping pace she cut off the top of his right ear and slashed across his nose before he had time to even register what had happened. Advancing his attack he reared up on his back feet, front paws slashing and jaws snapping. With all of her might, Kay pushed with both hands to keep his head at bay as he forced her back. Three steps in, she shoved and spun out to her right. Letting his force and momentum carry him forward and back onto all fours Kay jumped up onto his back. Immediately she stabbed with her left hand across into the right side of the back of his neck. Snaking her right arm around as if doing a choke hold she then, with one mighty pull, slit his throat. His body collapsed to the ground beneath her as he gasped his last breath, choking and gurgling on his own blood. Wiping her bloody blades on her pants as she rose to her feet she glowered ahead. The enemy had better watch out. She was one angry Luna!
