(Play 'Welcome to Wonderland')
The gang and I break off from Sora's to explore the Lotus Forest for any sign of Cheshire Cat's evidence. Along the way, Dylan and Dolly do a fantastic job of sniffing out helpful, hidden items amongst the area.
The first piece of evidence was located by some mushroom-steps on the ground level of the Lotus Forest in a tiny, pink and yellow tartan patterned box with an orange and yellow ribbon at the center of its lid. In it reveals evidence of Footprints from what I can safely put together is a Heartless. How it managed to fit in such a diminutive package, I learned not to question, what with being in a World with talking, phantom-like grinning cats, living card soldiers, and strange drinks that can make you grow or shrink.
In search of the second piece of evidence, we come across a path into an area called Tulgey Wood, if the wooden signs nailed to the trees are anything to go by. If I weren't so pressed for time in helping clear Alice's name, I would have taken up the time to draw and sketch the strange assortment of creatures that call the area their home. But I can push that until afterwards, since I doubt I'll forget any of the strangeness of Wonderland.
Though my party and I's personal duties don't hinder the creatures at being enamoured with us. Many weren't afraid to approach out of curiosity. From Horn Ducks and Mome Raths to the assortment of bizarre birds that resemble hand mirrors, glasses, shovels, umbrellas and even a birdcage.
Searching through the expanse of woods, we couldn't find one piece of evidence. Yet, the path divergence was not a complete loss.
Firstly, we found a shortcut that led back to the Bizarre Room, somehow hidden within a tree that could only be opened by pulling a branch like a lever. Again, won't question the whimsy that is Wonderland. Upon stepping back into the Bizarre Room, we were soon ambushed by a swarm of Shadow Heartless. Everyone did their best to hold their own, but after three swarms total, we all were starting to feel the strain. Yet, even after defeating three waves of Shadows, our troubles weren't over. Seven large Heartless, or possibly regular size, considering we were the one's shrunken, surround us. I called them Gigas Shadows, as they are exact to a basic Shadow Heartless only giant in comparison to our current shrunken size. Stitch, Sparky, Dylan and Dolly barely had the energy to stand up, let alone fight. And with the advancing slithers of the Gigas Heartless, all hope was looking lost. But something strange occurred. It was like my body was imbued with the power of my rage towards the Heartless advancing on my friends as newfound energy takes hold of me. Swinging my Keyblade powerful and wildly, but each move with purpose, the Gigas Shadows were vanquished in not even a minute. I had gained a new Ability from the experience and some very helpful, rare Synthesising materials.
