The girls were getting along quite well, and once again, Nadia and Lauren are very intelligent, but not in the romantic area, so do not think for the rest of the story that they are stupid.
Nadia never knew love. She knew so little, and it got to the point where she approached her worst enemy for answers about her feelings. Google. Yes that's right. Google. There's nothing a smart person hates more than a search engine which can pull up millions of answers to your questions in mere milliseconds.
Nadia learned from her enemy that she liked Lauren. This at first scared her. She was not supposed to feel like this about people. If she did feel like that, she wouldn't have murdered her family along with most of her neighborhood.
I would tell you how she did it, but I'm afraid that I would get in trouble, and for the fact that nobody really knows.
Anyways, Nadia was now in a pickle. Lauren obviously didn't like her, and to be honest, Nadia didn't know if she was allowed to date, but she decided to ask the man himself.
•
"Harleson, can I date?" Nadia asked, banging on the window of his office.
He opened his door, looking aggravated at her interruptions.
"Say it again? What did you want?" The man asked.
"Can I date?" The girl repeated.
Harleson laughed, "Who would ever like you? Or! Do you like someone! Ha! Biggest bullshit I've heard ever. If you can actually get a boyfriend."
Nadia growled and stormed out of the office, not paying attention to Katie, his secretary, shouting at her to come back and sign out because she has fucking OCD.
When Nadia hit her cold bed, she started thinking. She had a phone, and Lauren did too. Maybe she should text the girl?
For an intelligent girl who claimed to never be foiled by any question, she was confused about possibly the easiest thing to do once it's done, ask someone out.
And here's how she did it. She was in the middle of talking to Lauren.
"Nadia, you haven't been paying attention to what I've been saying the whole class. Are you okay?" Lauren asked.
"That's because I'm worrying about whether you'll say yes." Nadia said.
"To what? To getting a new partner for the project, because I could see that happening. And you don't have to threaten me to keep the project, you can have it I'll just start a-"
"I was gonna ask if you wanted to go out with me, but now I'm not so sure."
"Wait! I take it back. I'll go out with you."
"Good. I would've kept asking till you said yes anyways." Nadia smirked, leaning over and kissing Lauren on the cheek.
•
And from that day forward, Harleson was known as the man who underestimated a fifteen year old girl's romantic abilities. And boy was he an idiot to challenge Nadia Turner. But it's okay, because Nadia is too busy staring at Lauren's face in this point in time to even remember that Harleson exists. To her, all there is is Lauren, and that's all Nadia Turner needs.
